If you really need to pound your meat, this is a great tool. Nice weight and good grip to get the job done, fast and efficiently.

Very pleased so far. Saw Alton Brown & Rachel Ray using a similar one. Decided to make my own Country Fried Steak. This worked very well. It's heavy, so you don't have to apply a lot of pressure. The smooth bottom doesn't destroy Saran wrap (sprinkle of water on Saran wrap helps more) & makes it easy to slide the tenderizer to break up fibers. Worth the price if it lasts.

I saw this meat pounder on America's Test Kitchen and decided to buy it because they recommended it. I'm glad I did because it works much better than the other kind with the long handles that have a tendency to fling stuff all over the place. This is a heavier meat pounder and is easier to use and certainly easier to clean.

This will totally do the job, and much cheaper than many options. I'd buy again. That said, the handle is a bit thin and poorly shaped, would be better if it were a bit thicker with some texture, but it'll totally work, and doesn't seem like it will break or anything. The metal is smooth and easy to clean, and very solid!

This will do most of the work for you. Very solid, with a nice grip so it doesn’t slide out of your hand.

I absolutely love this pounder… If you have shoulder problems or neck or arthritis in your hands, wrists or elbows… This is so much nicer and easier to flatten out your meat. Every time a family member or friend comes over and sees it they immediately want me to Forward the information to them so they can buy one. I have never put it in the dishwasher And always hand dry it so I cannot comment on putting it in your dishwasher. I can only tell you that you won’t be disappointed. Just be careful because it will flatten your meat out quite quickly. You won’t need to use near as much strength… Very satisfied!!

This meat pounder is the best I have used. The stamp handle design and the string weight of the metal do the job fast. The ergonomics seem better than the traditional hammer style. It takes no space to store. If you need to flatten any meat uniformly, this is the tool to have in your gadget drawer.
