Holmes True HEPA Filter HAPF600D-U2, Filter B, 2 Pack

I have bought these for over 12 years and never had a problem. They always worked well. But the filters I just bought have an awful, chemical smell. Every time I turn the purifier it smells horrible. I thought maybe a little use would make it stop but only a little. But the whole purpose of these is to get rid of bad things in the air not add them. I reached out to Holmes and they were difficult and not at all interested in how their product was horrible. Think I'm just getting rid of the purifier!

I bought this for an older model of the Holmes True HEPA air purifier which I bought over ten years ago. It still works!!! It does really filter the air out well. I live by an oil refinery in Torrance, CA. It's awful how much soot we get coming in thru the window. It does catch all the soot and helps us breath better. When I have this on at night, I sleep thru the night without my allergies waking me up.If you really want to save money, vacuum these filters every month and put a furness filter between the door of the unit and the filter for an extra layer of filtration.

These filters fit my Holmes air purifier exactly and they work so well for about a year. When they are not as efficient as they should be, the red light on my purifier comes on and it is then time to order more. My Holmes purifier was one of my best all-time purchases. When I realized I needed one, a microbiologist told me this was the one to buy. She was right. There are so many different air purifiers on the market, it was very overwhelming when I was fighting 7 mths of pneumonia. I was not able to tolerate the ion purifiers. Please, I don't care what brand you choose, you need to make sure you get a HEPA purifier and use the correct filters for that brand. By the way, I haven't been sick for 4 1/2 years now.

As filters these work excellent for my Holmes air purifer (HAP 726) which takes two of these.The product arrived ahead of schedule. My only issue was that one of the brackets that holds the carbon filter portion was broken on one of the HEPA filters. I decided to use duct tape to fix it instead of bothering to send it back and it works fine. This was the best price at the time for these filters. I did find these filters on clearance ($9 each) at my local Walmart the day they arrived in the mail. A little annoying but no fault of the seller, and normally they sell for $20 each at my local Walmart.The previous filters that came with the machine had been in it for well over a year. The light to replace them still had not gone off. I was actually replacing the carbon filters (the light had gone off for those) and decided to replace these at the same time. So these filters can last quite a while and with that in mind the price is not bad at all. The machine had been running quite often in the past year and for a time period was run in an older house that did have issues with mold.

They work great most of the time but some times it starts up and smells like a dead animal. I took the machine apart and it is clean as new inside and out, in a clean home. I guess the filters just develop a weird foul odor some times. It usually goes away after a couple hours of use but it happens at least once a week with daily use.

I have a Holmes HAP8615, it's an older model that still works great, but no one seems to sell anymore, so filters have become difficult to find. After searching the model number online, and on Amazon I found that these filters will fit the machine.I have severe allergies, asthma, and live in an apartment a smoker used to live in so air purifiers are mandatory for me!The filter is good, but they seem to be of a slightly lesser quality than the ones I used to be able to find, for around the same price. It seems to be that they dirty much faster, and need replaced much more often then they used to need to be. This is upsetting since the price is about the same for the ones I used to get. At a little over $11 a filter, I'd like to use them for longer than three months or so, especially since you are supposed to be able to use a HEPA filter for about a year before it needs changed. I've seen them sold elsewhere for much more (about $25 a filter) so Amazon doesn't have that bad of a price all considering.All in all they're good filters, even if they are of what seems to be a lesser quality. They fit my older purifier, and are easy to get through Amazon at a decent price that isn't too outrageous.

Air cleaners & filters are a must-have for allergy sufferers like me. I'm never sure which "off-brand" is as good as the manufacturer's and which is not, so I only purchase replacements from manufacturers such as Holmes & Bionaire. This Holmes filter fits my Bionaire BAP 1225, as does a higher-priced filter from Bionaire. That said, Amazon's prices on the 2-pack sets has gone through the roof. Currently, the price (about 40 bux for a 2-pack) is excessive. Bionaire is selling these filters much cheaper on their own website, and I just picked up 2-packs, after coupon and free shipping, for about half the price charged here.I recommend this product but definitely suggest shopping around for a better price. In addition, know that there are a number of Bionaire and Holmes filters which are interchangeable, so look at both brands. Bionaire (a Jarden Co.) sells direct online, and there is a suitable replacement for this Holmes filter made by Bionaire.

Have used them for years!! They REALLY clean the air!!They also remove dust particles--and having 1 German Sheperd Dogs, dust can be a real issue!!We use one set in my husband's smoking room to clean cig smoke and one set in the family room for dust and dog hair.The machine takes a set of 3 filters at once--but the filters last about 6 months--and they can be vacuumed off to last longer.When they are full it is easy to tell and they are easy to change.A must for folks with breathing problems--or just folks who want to breath cleaner air.
