A great fan that is quiet. Looks classic and traditional
We were looking for a five bladed fan that would be quiet and provide air circulation for a large solarium.Many the fans came with lanterns or lights that looked out of place and were not needed for our location.I was not familiar with this brand but on reading the reviews we took a chance.It was easy to install. It looks great. It is quiet and functions very nicely.The five blades look traditional and it is not modern or visually obtrusive in the solarium.Very pleased and extremely good value for the price

WE FINALLY RECEIVED IT
I ordered this fan a long time ago. After the suppliers sent me many emails threatening to cancel it I finally got it. It is a nice fan. My son installed it for me. I think it will move the air very nice when it is both hot or cold. I like that I can switch the air flow with the remote control.

We're a little disappointed in the fact that this fan has only three ...
We're a little disappointed in the fact that this fan has only three speeds. We used to keep our old fan on 24/7 at the lowest speed (it has six speeds) but this one creates too much of a draft and we have to turn it off when it's cold in the house. Other than that, it is a nice fixture. It's quiet and we really like the longer blades.

good buy
Ceiling fans are never easy to install but after a couple hours of wirring and measuring it went up the the assistance of a friend and since it's functioned as I hoped. Totally silent on any speed, the remote makes changing direction or speed easy. I will be buying another very soon... big house, need to move a lot of air.

Great Fan
We bought this fan because it had a great rating for moving air and because it had a remote. The ceiling is high so I needed the remote to be able to switch the fan from summer/winter and to change the speeds. I had an electrician install the fan and he hooked the fan to an on/off switch on the wall. When I asked about the remote he told me the package had no remote.I talked to amazon technical service and they are getting me a universal remote that should work but I still have to have an electrician install the remote capability. Haven't received the remote yet but my fingers are crossed that it will work and not cost too much to install.Disappointed that the original remote was missing.

PAID TO HAVE IT INSTALLED, FAN DOES NOT WORK, NOW WAIT FOR UP TO 37 DAYS FOR REFUND
I hired an electrician to install the fan. The fan does not work. I paid the electrician $150 to install the fan and to take it back apart and put everything back into the box so I could return it.VERY DISAPOINTED !REFUND STATES: Estimated refund timing: Refund is issued within 30 days after we receive the item. Once we issue your refund, it takes up to 7 days for your financial institution to make funds available in your account.

Great fan and MinkaAire has super customer service
We received the fan, which looks and works great. For installation we set the unopened box in the room and called an electrician to install with a bunch of other projects. When he was done, there was a scratch on the center metal piece. He said it came that way when we pointed it out. My husband emailed MinkaAire to purchase a new piece and they sent it at no charge. Great customer service. Fan is quiet, works great and looks as good as some we've paid twice as much for.

Mandatory remote....
The remote is mandatory to change fan speed, no chain option. Hassle to have to keep another remote around for that. Just wanted people to know in case you want a standard chain pull fan speed adjust this ain't for you....
