I am so happy someone recommended this product. I live in rural ND and I have had an above ground pool since 1987. We have well water and I always used chlorine to control the algae. Now I have a six year old granddaughter who spends a lot of time with us on our farm and she loves the pool, but she is allergic to chlorine so I found some non-chlorine algaecide on Amazon and as soon as I put it in my well water filled pool, my water immediately turned dark. I added more and it got worse. I googled my problem and someone suggested I get CuLator SpaPak and I did. I put the little packet in the center of the filter and it took a few days, but my pool is now clear again. Our well water has some metals in it apparently, and I was so relieved that the CuLator SpaPak worked so well. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! From brown water to clear water in less than a week!! 36 hours later, all clear! Fantastic product!
Easy to use! Thought we would have to drain and replace our spa water after it turned green when we shocked it. Placed product in filter compartment, ran a few Vanishing Act cycles and 36 hours later our spa water lost its green hue!

Great Product, wrong size
Great? then why only 1 star? Mistakenly ordered this product thinking it was the higher capacity CuLator 4.0 unit. For an inground pool, using this product to eliminate the copper (and other metallic) contaminates is far less expensive than drainingand replacing a foot or so of water, adding chemicals to rebalance the new water, and heating the pool up again. It allowed me to continue enjoying the pool while it slowly lowered the level of copper in the water. Took about 2 weeks when placed in the pump's basket strainer. This item was too 'small' for my application - it is sized for a spa, but the product is excellent. One complaint common to both sizes, the plastic cradle is very difficult to open if you decide to remove the spent packet and replace it. Word of advice - try using an algecide that does not contain copper - that seems to have been the source of my copper.

Pouch leaked in hot tub
Similar to the image you can see on the reviews, the inner pouch leaked after about 4 days in the tub and spread while globs throughout the hot tub. I couldn't tell if it was collecting iron or not. there was no rust color, but maybe we didn't have enough iron. Definitely makes a mess when it breaks

Removed the green!
This product worked as described! Within a week of installing this it had removed the metals and turned our water back to normal blue instead of green! Saved us from having to refill the hot tub! Such a life saver!

Best find for well water!
Struggled getting well water, with lots of iron, to be inviting for the evening dip. This was recommended by spa folks and it works great! Crystal clear water. No brown foam or ring around spa. Love this product!
