The non-illuminated version of this scope (Model #180617 - VX-3HD 3.5-10x40mm ) has a 1" maintube. The descriptions are listed correctly you just need to make sure you have selected the right version of the scope on VX-3HD 3.5-10x40mm page

Can you use the zero stop with the standard turret and does it have a zero lock? Or only the CDS turret?

Yes it has a lock .I have two of them one on a ruger # 1375 h&h mag and one on model 70 winchest 30/06
