Batteries are a tricky business. There are lots of batteries in the market with the same specifications but not necessarily the same lifetime and performance therefore I like this original factory unit. It is also easy to install without disconnecting the UPS power. On the down side It is quite heavy for one person to handle and there is a lower cost alternative of replacing the internal batteries in the existing module, although for most users the cost saving would not justify the extra labor and the risk of a failure.

05-08-2021 UPDATE: I have had to get warranty replacement FOUR (4) times, this time I realized these are not the APC brand, but aftermarket UPC brand, warranty is great, but I got tired of going through the warranty process repeatedly, trashed these, and purchased the OEM APC brand, they cost more, but hey, they work, and I do not have to replace them all of the time. I recommend you save yourself some frustration and get yourself the reliable APC brand.I purchased four (4) of these RBC43 Oct 2018, two (2) have failed to hold a charge, the 1st one only lasted 11 months, the 2nd one only lasted 12 months, I am receiving good customer service from seller UPS (Upgrade Parts Co.) and they have warranty both of them, I am having to pay for shipping the defective ones back, they are heavy at 43 lbs.

Works great, been in use for 6 months now, no issues yet.

While I appreciate the convenience of a "plug and play" battery installation, to have a pack of lead-acid batteries last only 18 months was a big disappointment to say the least. Sadly, this is a case of you get what you pay for. I will buy branded batteries in the future and do the installation myself. These things should last 3 years at least.

It's a battery, so there is not much to say about it but it was well built and slid in our UPS unit without a problem. The system recognized it right away and stopped complaining about the battery being bad.I use it with an APC SMT2200RM2U

I have several APC Smart-UPS 3000RM units installed on customer's yachts, and have used these replacement batteries multiple times.3 out of the last 4 I've purchased have worked perfectly, but one failed in about 10 months.Keep in mind that units installed on boats see harder-than-normal use, as they experience generator power and dirty "shore power" in various harbors.... so I'd overall give these 4/5 stars.
