This Might Make You Break Up With Your Vacuum
I was sort of raised to use the vacuum for everything when it comes to cleaning. Need to dust something? Go get the vacuum. Need to get dog hair off the couch? Go get the vacuum. Feeling lonely? Go get the vacuum and you two can watch TV together. But here’s the thing with that — sometimes, it’s just a lot of fuss to get the vacuum out. Also, since I failed my vacuum driving test, whenever I use the vacuum I tend to bump into things and/or trip over the cord. We eventually got a cordless Dyson, which eliminates the cord tripping but, because of the sharp edges on its bin, greatly increases the bumping into things. Additionally, I’m not fond of the noise the vacuum makes and I don’t like having to contort myself like a Cirque de Soleil performer to get it to clean things like the sides and backs of furniture. This wasn’t a huge deal until we got two new things in our house: a french bulldog with short, shed-prone hair, and a Lovesac couch that really, really loves to collect that hair and hold on to it for dear life. Now, instead of just a once a week chore, I was getting the vacuum out every day to clean the couch, bonking into things with it, and swearing. I really, really wanted a better way to get the dog hair off the couch. I had one of those red lint brushes, but it didn’t work at all on the short dog hair on the couch; it was TONS of work and the result was basically 1 out of 5 stars; maybe “dorm room” clean, but not “yay, it’s not gross anymore!” clean. I came across this brush on Amazon and decided to give it a try, and wow. First of all, the brush itself is very well made and easy to hold. Interestingly, even on the first use it didn’t shed more than maybe 1 or 2 bristles, which was a big surprise. Second, and more important, it is EFFECTIVE. My great grandma vacuumed her furniture maybe once a month, and I always wondered why it wasn’t dusty and gross. I sort of assumed that maybe she just didn’t use it and maybe sat on the floor when no one was around, or maybe she rented an apartment nearby and actually didn’t live there (she was sneaky). Well, actually, this is probably why - I think she brushed it, having already figured out that vacuuming it every week was just not really necessary. If you have a lot of upholstery and things (like dog hair) that you want to get off that upholstery, you need this. It is 1000 times better than dicking around with a vacuum, and it does a phenomenal job. I would buy this again in a second, and it’s shaved a lot of time and stress off of my cleaning routine.

Only good for wool items
Maybe my expectations were different ... I want to use this for all purposes ie furniture, bedding, clothes. However this brush is more suitable on wool (jackets, pants, dress). I tried to use this brush to dust off the lint off my bedsheet but the result was not ideal.

A quality made brush.
This is my second brush which I will be using for upholstery grooming around the house. My first brush is still used solely for suit maintenance and has been in use for approximately 4-5 years now. It still looks the same as when it arrived. The bristles have stayed strong and the brush does not shed The quality of this brush for the value cannot be overstated. Premium bristles and a solid wood handle make this brush durable and excellent for grooming suits, upholstery, wool felt hats, etc. The bristles are the right length to balance stiffness for cleaning with softness to not damage wool fibers. Don't hesitate to purchase this brush.

Quickly removes pet hair from some fabrics.
I was looking for an attractive, durable lint remover to leave out in my living area; this fits the bill. There are no strange odor from the bristles––I didn't know what to expect––and can only smell the oil used on the beechwood. As with any wooden product left indoors, it might need more oil applied periodically to prevent cracking or excessive drying. I did a comparison between this product and the much less attractive velour lint remover. It was no surprise that the velour outshined in overall lint/dust/pet hair removal department. What I found though is that when time is limited this boar brush was superior. It's quicker to use since the length is greater than the velour brush and the hair/lint is easy to remove. The velour brush, while superior in overall dust/hair removal, the surface is curved & shorter (than this brush) and a narrower portion of its face is actually removing hair. It takes two swipes of the velour brush to equal that of this brush. Additionally, I usually find myself wetting my hand or that of the velour brush to remove the embedded hair, which takes significantly more time. In a nutshell, the velour brush takes more time and has a limited number of uses, while this boar brush is more comfortable in the hand and quickly reduces the amount of hair & lint as well as has a multitude of uses (clean shoes, scrub stains out of cloths, carpet, couch, etc.).
