Q: Is the ball measurement really 1 and 1/8 inch? that is really big? What is the actual size?

it's 3/4 inch diameter - didn't fit on my sink which needs 5/8

Q: There seems to be doubt about the dimensions of this product. Is the diameter (not circumference) of the ball 1/2"? That would seem to be standard.

Ball is 1/2 diameter.There is a smaller size ,which I think is older not sure. I could not find smaller size.
