Does it start to yellow after some period of time. I have some swarovski figures that came unglued. The figureines are made from beads.

I used it on Swarovski figurines at least a year ago and they still look great. Not sure about 50 years from now, but they'll be someone else's problem then.

Why is glass glue better than regular gel or liquid superglue, which also dries clear? How are they different?

I have a piece of blown glass that broke. This product did not work at all for me. I saw no difference between any of these products. Yes it did dry mostly clear.

I am looking for a glue that I can use to fill in small chips on the rims of crystal glasses so the chips don't show, vs filing.Would this work?

No, it wouldn't work. Cyanoacrylate (aka superglue) cannot fill cracks or spaces. Your best bet is an instant clear epoxy, which turns into a plastic when set and fills spaces well. The problem is that it's hard to make the epoxy completely clear. It will probably have bubbles or be cloudy. Your best bet is to go to a professional glass/crystal restorer.

Would it work on pipes

Yes and no. In reference to glass water pipes and handheld “tobacco” pipes, it depends on where the break is. Breaks in places where heat is going to be directly applied may not hold up as well. Another thing that should be noted is that exposure to certain alcohols can cause the glue to heat up to potentially dangerous temperatures and/or cause the glue to unstick and dissolve. I have yet to fully test how well the glue holds up to isopropyl alcohol (my preferred cleaning agent) but I will update when I do :) (1/2)
