It took a few months for me to realize the excellence of this machine
I wasn't necessarily impressed with the materials used in the manufacture of this machine and its accessories. All the above simply felt "cheap" to me as similar feeling gear in my past would inevitably fail or fall apart. After several months of active use of this vacuum cleaner it is now clear to me my suspicions were incorrect. Yes, everything is extraordinarily light weight (especially the brush head unit). But where I once thought that would have indicated a compromise in durability and performance, this is simply not the case (so far). I'm especially pleased with the ease of removing debris from the catch basin once it fills up. It's extraordinarily easy enough to remove it from the main unit. It's light enough to lift it above a kitchen trash can. And the latch mechanism opening the basin container for the purpose of emptying it into a trash can functions well with minimal (if any) mess. The suction and other controls of this machine are also highest quality in my humble opinion. And oh yeah, I'm also impressed with the lower-level noise this thing makes during operation in comparison to ALL other machines I've owned in the past. As opposed to other larger machines that offer on-board storage of the various cleaning heads one my use (such as the brush head, etc.), this unit does not. Nonetheless, I consider this a plus in how the lack of on-board storage helps minimize the overall size and weight of the entire machine. Yes, this brand charges a bit more than its competitors. However, I now completely understand why and consider the additional cost worthwhile. Of course, if it breaks down I'll certainly report. Worth the cost of admission.

Do not buy this product!
I bought this model because of some of the positive reviews and I thought I would finally get a nice machine. I was impressed that I didn't need to carry it, that it rolls and is low noise. BUT! The carpet roller had to be cleaned twice on each carpeted room. It was awful to get the long hair from my Irish Setter, then after only a month, it quit completely. I wish I had read some of the negative reviews. If you have pets or carpet, forget this machine and go elsewhere. It's an expensive piece of junk. Hardwood floors are ok, but not great suction even on hardwood. Just don't buy it.

Converted from a Dyson
I love this thing. Previous to this, I owned a Dyson cordless vacuum. Everything was great until the battery could no longer hold a charger. The price or replacing the battery was about a 1/3 of the cost of this vacuum. I realized not only would I have to pay for a new battery now, I would be buying batteries every 3-4 years. That seemed absurd. I have a husky/border collie and she sheds a lot. This thing does wonders for picking up dog hair. Its also great to have the brushless floor attachment to sweep up my hardwood floors. Its light enough to easy carry up and down the steps as well. This is great for cleaning your car as well. This is definitely the most I have paid for a vacuum, but it is well worth the investment. It has a lot of suction power, it’s easy to carry around, easy to empty, and the retractable cord makes putting it away super simple. I probably would never go back to an upright vacuum. Highly recommend.

Miele delivers
This is our third vacuum cleaner in 8 years. We first purchased an Electrolux canister vacuum cleaner much like this one. We had a lot of issues with it, particularly after we had to replace the broken floor attachment. We were able to fix it a few times but then we purchased a Shark upright vacuum and this was good for about a year before it started clogging. When it finally stopped working, we purchased this Miele. It was a bit rich in price for me, but it's been so reliable in the past 6 months. I didn't want to review it just yet to make sure we didn't jinx it. But we are very happy with it. It has good suction, it's easy to maneuver and lightweight. The only downside is it does not have LED lights to light up the floor like the Shark did, but it's ok. It's been super reliable. It's great for wood floors and sucking pet hair, just make sure you get the pet hair attachment nozzle, which is extra.

Difficult to Clean Hair Out of Brush Roller
This vacuum is relatively lightweight and quiet. I paid a premium price for a “Cat & Dog” vacuum cleaner because I have three dogs who shed constantly. Unfortunately, a lot of the hair gets spun onto the brush roller. The brush roller cannot be removed from the vacuum head without dismantling the whole thing - so I spend about 5 minutes picking the hair out of the roller every time I vacuum. I don’t see how this is made for pet owners.

Absolutely NOT worth the money
If you have pets, buy something different. I have a large German shepherd and a medium shepherd mix, both with medium length coats. On our dining room rug, I had to go over the same area 9 to 10 times before the dog hair was removed. That is staggering to me. Yes, it has a moving beater brush, but it does nothing. I was standing there “scrubbing” our carpet with this vacuum and it was so tiring because it does not have a motor in the head to propel it forward. I have long hair and the beater bar was wrapped up after a very short time. I vacuum frequently (once a day at least) and it took forever to do it with the Miele. I’m from Germany, I know we have lots of animal lovers there also. Come on Miele, really? Who tested this and said “Yes, this works well for pet hair!”? I got it today, vacuumed two rooms and promptly boxed it up to ship it back. Don’t buy it if you have hairy fur babies. You will be disappointed. To be fair, the suction is decent and it is quiet, it works ok on hardwood flooring. I like the handle design, but that’s it. It’s not for me, unfortunately.

I absolutely love that machine it’s easy to pull and does a wonderful job picking up the dogs and cats hair. The parts are easy to put together or to remove. I don’t have much strength in my hands because of arthritis so that’s a big bonus for me. Another big bonus is that it doesn’t require bags so I save a lot of money on that. It’s also not heavy to pull. This is the best vaccum I have ever had and it’s worth the money

Turbo head quit after 3 weeks. All I wanted was it replaced, not the entire vacuum. I went to Amazon customer service who directed me to seller. The seller told me Amazon handles everything and go back to them. When I replied asking about the 5 year warranty, no response to me at all. Terrible customer service for a higher priced item. Do not recommend .

Bought this for the ability to rapidly removing tiny dust and fragments from my laser cutter after each use. It has decent enough suction but the clear tube that holds the waste has already broken one of the only two notched areas it attaches t the motor with. Also the runtime is somewhere in the 5 minute mark before needing recharging again.

This vacuum is exactly what I was looking for and it works great

The suction on this vacuum is the o my reason I gave it two stars , it advertises it as a vacuum for pets, but the beater bar is AWFUL, not only does it not turn on carpets but if it does the pet hair gets to wound up you have to stop and clean the bar every 5 mins, very disappointed not worth the money.
