Screws don't brake the wood apart. SETS THE screw head without trearring the wood apart. THE COATING on the screw is epoxy. LOOKS GOOD BUT ONLY TIME WILL ANSWER IF good or not. HAVE USED OTHER DECK SCREWS, AFTER 5 to 8 years ,they tend to decay. TIME WILL ANSWER THE QUESTIONS. Good price compare to other SCREWS! WILL BUY AGAIN. These worked perfectly for installing deck boards. These have a nice coating and great durability high quality screws and a much lower price than the local hardware stores. I bought the big box did an 1200 square foot deck and still have plenty of screws These came in a large box there are alot of them. The quality is great they sell these at my local hardware store but.. twice the price so try them u won't be disappointed I highly recommend

these screws are incorrectly listed as 8" X 2" They should be correctly labeled #8 X 2"

Does what you want a screw to do! Nice sharp tip, good holding power for a small, thin screw, countersinks well, even in dense OSB sub flooring. Very little trouble with snapping or breaking hard wood. I plan to purchase a second bucket for screwing the lap siding to the plastic strips of a ICF house. Recommended product!
