I bought the ANCOOLE Retractable Dog Lead over a year ago(Feb 2024), and I have to say, it’s been really great. The 5M (16FT) nylon tape is still in perfect shape, and I haven’t had any issues with tangling or sticking, which was a big concern of mine before I chose this one. The handle is comfortable and has a nice grip that prevents slipping, even if my dog gets a bit excited during walks!One of my favourite features is the one-handed brake mechanism which can also lock the lead in place. It’s really easy to use, which comes in handy when I need to quickly get my dog’s attention or pull him back a bit. I have a medium-sized dog, and this lead works perfectly for us. Overall, I’m really pleased with my purchase and would recommend it to other dog owners looking for a reliable and durable lead!

Snapped first time we used it and my dog escaped onto a busy road. Luckily no harm came to the dog but this lead is such poor quality that’s it’s very dangerous.

Easy to use ,works well — solid item

Initially I was very pleased with this lead. It was easily retractable, comfortable in my hands, and easy to control my dog with. However, the fifth time I used it was also the last. The whole tape twisted up inside the slit where it retracts and it was impossible to straighten it back out again. The lock function did not function well enough to stop my dog when running either and would release allowing him to charge at full length of the lead. Great for a small dog only.

It was great, at first, only lasted a week or so, wouldn't retract, took ages to let it pull back in, puppy was in a knot, all tangled up. Unless you plan on keeping it short I wouldn't buy. If you do, it's good, light, easy to hold, in a pretty pink.

Fabulous dog lead

Had it for a month and it’s broken. Only pulling a little poodle too. Not great quality. Wide but thin leash also means it tangles quickly. Not surprised it didn’t last.

I found it wasn't very durable at all, my dog quickly ended up chewing through the leash. It has a pretty okay length, very light weight. I suffer with joint issues, I sometimes found it difficult to keep hold of the handle due to the material and design of the handle. Overall, not really a dog lead I'd recommend for a puppy atleast.
