I buy a lot of audio gear and I needed a way to bench test different components with an old set of small junk speakers. Worked fine for me. I don't know I'd use them for my top notch gear, but for some 60's & 70's solid state radios that also allow component use, including external speakers, these allowed me to do just that. I'd buy them again. Simple, quick attachment and easy to change out if needed.

I got these so I could make some custom RCA cables or replace a broken plug if I needed to. You can just use regular speaker wire or 12v wire if you need to. I wouldn't use them for long runs unless you have shielded cable though. Also, you might want to use heat shrink tubing around the connection points. Use the right size screwdriver and wire so that the connection is solid and you don't strip the screw heads. Easy to use and the quality of the connections seems good. With RCA connectors you can just pinch the sides of the sleeve if you need a tighter fit, and you can use electrical tape or large heat shrink tubing if you want to really secure the connection.

I bought three packs and the male adapter was very convenient. I was very glad to find a solderless adapter. It works as claimed. Would be 5 star, except that on one of the units out of the 8 used, the screws tightened before clamping a #22 solid wire-- the same defect rate as I experienced with the corresponding number of female adapters. The adapter is not as well shielded as pre-attached RCA jacks or plugs, but will work fine for low-impedance connections. If you need this function, these will work nicely.

Does what it’s supposed to, and easy to use. I’m a happy buyer.

I tried to use stranded wire, but that simply does not work well. The compression system used by the plugs allows the stranded wire to untraveled and the wire to pull out easily. It's best for solid wire, but if you are attaching the end of shielded audio wire, the shield may twist around enough to come out of the plug. I'm not sure how I'll be using these, but they may come in handy when the right circumstance comes up with the correct solid wire and gauge.
