This compares VERY favorably to Clinique Black Honey. And like BH require frequent reapplication. There is a scent reminiscent of cucumber which I don’t find objectionable. I lowered my rating because it is manufactured in China. And because one order came with a broken safety seal (that’s on Amazon, I think.) Good for Elf that their product even has a safety seal. If you don’t mind lip balm made in China this is a lovely color, not sticky.

I had a bit of trial and error in my journey to finding the right color of lip gloss. But the brand (Neutrogena) and product type are absolutely great. I've used Hydro Boost Hydrating Lip Shine for about 4 years. It's for some reason not easy to find in the store so I tend to look here on Amazon first. The Hydro Boost Hydrating Lip Shine feels genuinely hydrating, it says that it is not sticky but if I am honest, it is a little sticky. But it doesn't bother me. I feel like my lips are smoother and plumper when I use this regularly, that's why it has become my go-to lip gloss, giving subtle color. Would I recommend it to a friend? I'd buy it as a gift. That's how much I like it.

i received it without a seal and had to refund it immediately. dissapointed because i was excited for this product as ive heard many great things about it.
