Purchased these to help rout round edges on my work. I am not a pro shop and did not want to spend a lot of $$ on this item as featured by other suppliers so gave these a shot. They work fine and I would recommend them, especially if you are a hobbyist and only use them occasionally.

I ordered these to use on a small bench that i'am currently making to put by the front door to sit on when we put our shoes on. It worked great for making the radius on the four corners. I used them do decide what radius looked the best for the size of the bench, trace it on the sides to precut the radius on the bandsaw then used it to form the final shape on my router table.

I used the jig with my router table when it arrived. It works as advertised. I used double sided tape to help hold it in place. Its small size puts your fingers too close to the spinning bit for my comfort. You can't use a guide pin to help stabilize the cut so it really is a free hand process. Cutting thick stock could be a challenge. The piece I routed was only about 3/8" thick.

These come in handy to round the corners. easy to use and feel very durable.

I was skeptical that these could be held in place manually while routing, but after routing 2 - 40 (I'm assuming 40mm radius) corners on 10 pieces of 6" x 38", 1" thick red cedar, using a 1/4" by 1 1/4" up-cut spiral bit in my router table, I'm a believer. So much easier to use than making a template and taping it to each piece. I should have bought these earlier.

The jig is designed to be used with a stationary router in a routing table. Not designed for use on larger stationary surfaces (like counter tops) where you are routing by moving the router around the work piece.I ended up routing a round in a piece of smaller scrap and then clamping the scrap to final product. I also had to drill holes and use screws to hold the jig while I was creating the rounded edge on the scrap board because I did not have an routing table available .In fairness, I suspected this would be a problem when I purchased. I got it to work - just had to be creative and take it slow.

I deceided to make round corners on a small cabinet top. I figured purchasing premade templateswould be much quicker than attempting to make my own, since I wasn't sure what radius I wanted I would have had to make several. The Hermit Tools set of 3 templates work great. I also like the fact of having 6 different radius corners for any future projects. And the price was really great.

The media could not be loaded. They are decent, they do the job and if you be 100% careful they can get the job done, however, because they are light plastic they can slip around a lot. If that happens you can see that it’ll actually slide in allowing you to cut more of your work then you would have hoped.I’d recommend some double sided tape or a rubber grip to stop it from sliding.You can see what happens if it shifts while cutting unfortunately

I think these will do the job just fine. Only wish they were aluminum instead of plastic.
