Although nowadays you can get all recipes online its good to have a recipe book. It has all the main goan recipes which is easy to follow.

Excellent historical background of the cultural influence on the food of Christians in Goa.The recipes are also well written.

This book has plenty of variety including some unusual goan recipes which remind my of my grandmothers cooking but the recipes aren't entirely fool proof - especially not for the novice cook. I've had to make a few adjustments to the ingredients to make them the dishes taste authentic.

If you like to eat and enjoy cooking... you will enjoy this book. Compiled of recipes from my father's youth... a compilation of Portuguese and Indian cooking... Yummieeeeeeeeeee!!

I was looking for a Goan cook book and bought this one. Only had it a short time so I’ve only tried a few recipes. The chicken curry was delicious.
