Poly Sync 10 USB Speakerphone - Two-In-One Portable Speaker for Audio/Video Conference Calls & Music - USB Powered - Microsoft Teams, Zoom & Google compatible- Dual-Mic, Full-Duplex Audio

I have my Android phone connected to my Windows PC using the Phone Link app. It allows me to control it via my PC. I was hoping that with the Poly Sync 10, I would be able to accept, mute and decline calls using the controls on this device in the same way that I would using a speaker connected via Bluetooth. It’s not capable of this and, as advertised, it’s designed primarily for Windows Teams, Zoom and VoIP calls. When my phone rings, I can obviously hear the ring through the speaker, but I'm unable to control my phone using speaker.It is plug and play using the fixed USB cable. I connected it to my PC and it started playing back the music I was playing immediately. For music playback, it does sound very good given its size. There are three sound settings to choose from: Bass, Flat or Bright, with Bass sounding the best.Be sure to download the Windows app that allows for fine tuning of the settings. It does look and feel underdeveloped but should cover most needs. Disappointingly, the 'Start Here' QR code inside the box leads to a web page that states "...the page you are looking for may have been moved or permanently deleted". They could at least redirect customers to the relevant page.It is a lightweight device on account of it having no battery and if I have once concern about the build, it’s the fixed USB cable. Damaging the cable could render the whole device unusable. It can be neatly wound around the base when not in use, but still. It also seems expensive for what it is.

Expansive Full Duplex Conference Speaker Hub

This is a really nice addition to my working from home desk setup.I spend a lot of time on Teams and I’m always trying to find the mute button or end call button on screen, but you can do this from the unit instead of on screen, very useful when sharing/presenting other programs. You can also call up teams by pressing a button so you can have it hidden then it’s easy to retrieve.It’s smaller than I thought which is great as it’s so portable and can easily slip in a laptop bag.Speaker and microphone quality is very good and it really does feel like a well made unit. Works via usb-a or usb-c equally well. You can also use it as a speaker for music. Not a cheap unit but a good product.

This was literally a case of plugging into a spare usb port on my laptop. It worked immediately, nothing else to do. The sound quality is absolutely superb both ways, no complaints. It all comes in a small form factor fitting on a small desk. Simple controls to adjust the volume. Brilliant brilliant product.

My husband have used this with his laptops and cellphone for audio and video calls for conference calls. This allows he to hear audio on his laptop without the need for the laptop’s speakers or microphone, it sounds great and everybody says they can hear him clearly as well with no echos. He like that the device has touch controls on front for volume and mute, which he use quite often. When you tap the mute button the light on the device turns red to show you that it’s muted. This makes things much smoother to use. There is a built-in USB-A cable that neatly stores on the bottom by wrapping it around the base of the unit. This keeps everything nice and neat for easy portability. There is also a USB-A to USB-C adapter included, that is very convenient when using with cellphone or newer laptops that has only USB-C ports. Overall, a great solution for nice and clear audio with easy controls for mute and volume to use with all portable devices.

The Poly Sync 10 USB Speakerphone is one device from a range of similar Sync products by Plantronics, and although it is at the bottom end it still performs well and is simple to use. It is really designed for work purposes, and other meetings, but the sound quality is decent enough to enjoy a bit of music when you want to chill. This is a compact all-in-one device that can be easily carried around with you, and is ideal for a home office or working from home as many of us now do. It is simple plug-and-play and being USB powered it never needs charging - it features both USB-A or USB-C connectivity to suit old and new laptops. Currently around one hundred pounds this Plantronics Poly Sync 10 is the basic model so it might be worth checking the features of the more expensive Sync models if you will be using one a lot – reasonable value at the price ( I would like it to have been a bit cheaper!) it gets five stars for features and performance.
