Total waste of money
Total waste of money. Purchased the 14 gauge wire upgrade, only to find out that the larger wire will DESTROY the connections into the transmitter. We have had the product for over a month and we were able to use it for ONE day. The transmitter was alerting and indicating a wire break, but after purchasing their $60 "wire break locator" we didn't find diddly squat wrong with the boundary wire. While using the souped up AM radio that they call a wire break locator, the connection levers and springs fell out of that and onto the ground, so that is completely useless as well. petsafe sent us a replacement transmitter that we ordered on a Wednesday and paid for 2 day air, but it didn't get here until Monday. The fence is working right now, but the collars don't ever consistently beep. Our dogs were 5 miles from home for two days, while other instances had them being shocked so badly they didn't move for hours. Waste of money and waste of time. $700 spent in total, to still have our dogs on the stakes.
