Everywhere Babies Lap Board Book

My toddlers favourite book. I think I would purchase this for anyone who has a baby it’s one of those staples. I also love the cute window decal it came with. Btw I bought this because I saw the small version at the science centre and I didn’t know it came this book. I definitely recommend the large board book! Lots of multiculturalism and blended family dynamics so very relevant and cute.

No me di cuenta cuando lo pedí que es mucho más grande que lo que suelen ser los libro de cartón para bebés y me parece genial. El material es de muy buena calidad, se ve duradero.

The graphics are what make this an instant classic. Babies love looking at babies, and this book is full of them. Each page offers many opportunities for readers to engage babies in conversation: “That baby looks upset. Look how messy that baby is! Oh, she has two teeth just like you do.” As these interactions are critical to early literacy and brain development, this is one of the more beneficial books for babies on the market. Instant classic!

I like to get this book for baby showers. I think everyone should have a copy. My favorite thing about it is the diversity it features. There are babies being cared for by 2 mommies, 2 daddies, biracial families; babies being carried in slings, strollers and backpacks; babies being breast and bottle-fed. Every page starts out with "everyday, everywhere..." For example, the top of the page will say "Everyday, everywhere babies are born." And the bottom of the page will describe the babies. If your child is younger or won't sit for the whole book, you could just read the words at the top of the page. When your child can pay attention longer, you can read the words at the top of each page and at the bottom, which expand on the passage at the top. It's pretty neat. This particular addition is a large format board book that fits perfectly in your lap. The large version is nice because you can see all the many pictures clearly.

Both of my children have loved this book! The pictures are incredibly detailed and realistic, and show babies engaging in all kinds of typical activities. We find so much to discuss in all of the pictures. My daughter is 21 months now and likes to name items she recognizes, the babies' feelings, etc. When my son was 2-3, he liked to ask and answer questions about the pictures ("which baby is making a mess?"). As other reviewers have stated, I also love the diversity (racial, family types, both breast and bottle feeding, etc.) I'd find it hard to imagine any family not finding relatable images in this book. I could not recommend this more!
