Arrived today, the battery outlasted my 80 year old shoulders. I used it for half an hour and it worked better that I had anticipated and cut through some pretty thick stuff. I have decided that if I give it half an hour a day I can do the top of my hedges without a problem. I do the lower part of my hedges using my mains clipper but don’t like using ladders any more. These clippers are the answer to my prayer if a bit heavy for me. Battery still showed three of the four lights when I had finished so pleased with that too

I've had my Hyundai long reach trimmer for a few weeks and so far it has performed well, proving extremely useful in my garden full of trees and shrubs which, hitherto, I have had to pay good money to get others to trim and tame. So it will probably pay for itself within a single season! I quite enjoy using it too; easy to handle, not too heavy and with very sharp teeth! A handle/hand-hold somewhere along the shaft, preferably adjustable, would not have come amiss, but that is a minor gripe. The main surprise was finding that it was made in China. What, I wonder, drove Hyundai, long-established South Korean manufacturer of all things from ships to cars, electronics, chemicals etc etc, to outsource manufacturing of its garden tools to the enemy across the water?

I purchased this to maintain my large laurel hedge. Instructions and assembly very clear and the charger gives good power. I was surprised that there was no advice regarding maintaining the cutting blades so use light oil spray after use. The machine extends easily but is a tad heavy albeit I coped quite easily. I’d advice using ear defenders plus eye protection. It’s robustly made and good value for maintenance jobs albeit if your hedge is particularly high, the reach may be inadequate. Best check. A good product.

Excellent for cutting hedges. Not too heavy and well balanced. Cutting blade seems to do a good job. Battery lasts well and charges fairly quickly.Not nearly as noisy and smelly as a petrol motor.Would do for small to medium hedges.

The trimmer is well made and is great for hard to reach tall hedges as it means the trimming can be done without using a ladder. The battery held its charge very well (charger is supplied) and the trimmer is very easy to use. You can change the angle of the cutting blades very easily so can tackle most jobs including vegetation lower to the ground. The trimmer comes with a harness to go over the neck or shoulder. This is useful as its quite heavy which is probably the only downside I can think of.

It works well but just too heavy for prolonged use. As a short female, I cannot manage to hold the equipment and at the same time reach the electric starter which you have to keep hold of in two places with one hand. I haven't got a big enough stretch!! Not the best choice for me. Will have to sell it.

I've found this solidly built, well constructed Cordless Trimmer Smashing for so many reasons.It's not just the reaching out, doing a balancing act on steps, to cut difficult to get at shrubbery, which the telescopic pole allows, bur equally important, for me at least, is the ability to stand upright when cutting low hedging, when one gets older bending down, and then getting up again ain't always easy. No more this quality Trimmer does everything I need and more.Also worth noting is the comprehensive Instruction Maual.In a time where its easier to put a few diagrams, but NO written instructions, is wonderful.All clearly itemised,with written and photographic instructions, it makes such a very welcome changed.Cheers Amazon for making it your choice, I can clearly understand why, and all this for a very reasonable price.

I have a lot of tall hedges to cut each year in beech, hornbeam and a mixed holly, Hawthorne and ivy nightmare one too. I have a heavyweight corded trimmer which is heavy and required steps to trim up high which is hard work. Thought I would give this cordless extendable a go. Despite the negative reviews about weight this is way lighter than my powerful Makita. Much easier and I can reach the top, on the sides at least of all of my hedges without need for steps. Doing the tops from steps is much easier and safer. Downside is that the blades are not overly powerful. Fine for light hedge material but don't expect to easily cut through 1cm bits. Having said this, I expect to do lots of early cuts before tops get that big.
