Loving the multi cooker!
I finally gave in and bought a multicooker after hearing all the great reviews about Instant Pot. The Fagor got the best reviews from Cooks Illustrated so I went with that as their reviews are reliable. It’s a nice looking unit which locks and lights up with easy directions. What I love most is the pressure cooker as time management is my biggest challenge. Hands down the fastest way to get dinner on the table. Soup? Half an hour. Pot roast? An hour. Corned beef brisket for St. Patrick’s Day? An hour and a half. And that’s just the pot doing the work! Most prep takes a few minutes and any sautéing is done directly in the same pot. Wow I’m loving that. So if I forget to put a protein in my slow cooker at 9am, I know I can still get it done in my pressure cooker. I would give Fagor 5 stars but I have a couple of suggestions - I would love to simmer without having to put the lid on in locked position. I would also love a clear glass lid that works with Fagor’s locking system. Otherwise I can easily use Instant Pot recipes with my Fagor. I look forward to trying out the rice and slow cooker functions next.

We love this!
Using it for a lot of meals. Good saute function, good pressure cooker, simple interface. 6 months heavy use, working great!

First picture note how top does not fit to base. 2nd picture shows angle this make unit sit
We just unpacked and are testing the 3rd Fagor LUX LCD Multi-Cooker, 4 Quart - Digital Pressure Cooker purchased from Amazon. The first two emitted a banshee sound draftee about 10 minutes heating on pressure cook and emitted steam from around the lid. This third unit is currently on heat to see if it acts the same but at any rate it is unacceptable unit as it was improperly put together. The unit does not properly align with the base. See attached photos. I am very disappointed in these units. I specifically choose this unit as it was highly rated by America's Test Kitchens/Cooking illustrated and I have always trusted their judgement. Something is terribly wrong with these units however. Even if this one passes the steam/pressure test I would need to have it replaced because of the poor construction. Confirmed the 3rd unit just failed the pressure test also. Do these people do any quality control on your products at all?

It's ok but not as fancy as it looks...
It looks really good on the picture but now that I received it I think it looks a bit cheap... The menu is obvious and easy to use; however the top not that easy to open/close. It takes me a couple of tries to perfectly lock it in. Also, it sits on tiny "legs" and it's very slippery on my granite kitchen counter! The stainless steel insert is easy to clean; however it's already stained after the first use. Overall it's ok. I used it a few times.

I've only used it once but it worked great.
I purchased this cooker because it was highly rated by Cooks Illustrated. Actually I wanted the 8 qt. model but it wasn't available so settled for this one and hope in the long one I won't be sorry for settling for the 6 qt model. I've only used it once but it worked great.

A mighty machine!
I am coming off another popular pressure cooker brand but I've been using this one for 6 months now. When it arrived, it looked great but noticed a bit of shoddy manufacturing around the control panel. Not anything really noticeable or a safety concern though. First, I love the stainless steel insert. It is a must for getting those brown bits and deglazing a pan with no fear of ruining your nonstick. Next, the controls are very easy to use. The knob is way better than cycling through modes with a push of a button and control is intuitive. The unit browns well which was not true of my other as it would cut off because it always would get too hot and the safety would kick in. It reaches pressure quickly and also depressurizes more quickly. The only problem I've found is that the sealing gasket fits loosely and can be misaligned when trying to achieve pressure. I've done it twice, only because I thought I could leave it alone, to come back and wonder why it was taking so long. In both cases, it was clearly visible as a small stream of steam coming from an area around the edge of the lid in one area. Despite this small issue, it is still an awesome pressure cooker!

I love this product
I love this product, mostly because it’s a great improvement on the pressure cookers of my youth. It’s so easy to cook or steam frozen items and have dinner ready in 15 minutes. The downside is the LED feature blinks and I’m not sure if it’s working or not but it still is cooking I just don’t know how long. That’s kind of a problem.
