Efficient and Super Convenient Mini Veggie Chopper
The Hamilton Beach mini chopper is a small but powerful kitchen tool. It chops, slices, and dices vegetables in seconds, saving a lot of prep time. I use it for salads, salsas, and even quick meal prep, and it works consistently every time. It’s compact and easy to store, and the parts are simple to clean—perfect for busy households or anyone who wants to cut veggies without the hassle. The only minor drawback is that it’s best for small to medium amounts of veggies; larger batches require a few rounds. Overall, a very practical and reliable addition to the kitchen.

If you can respect it's limitations, it works pretty. darn. well.
I can't give 5 stars to anything that is basically the epitome of planned obsolescence. I know I won't have this unit in 10 years, maybe not in 3.* But what it can do, it does very, very well. And what it does is handle not-too-hard veggies and nuts like a pro in the fine chop to pulverize range. Do *not* overfill it (see manual). Do *not attempt to drop in a big hunk of parm and go to town. (I've chop-grated small dice of parmesean okay, but am not kidding myself that this is good for the machine's longevity.) Chop pecans? I guess. Almonds? Just no. I grab the big food processor if I'm chopping up chocolate chunks.Pulsing is your friend. Push down, count to about 1, stop. Repeat as needed. That's the whole secret to not overprocessing.I wouldn't put it in the dishwasher, bottom rack or top - not on a bet. The bowl is thin, brittle plastic. I would not even leave it out in the hot sun.I get it, if you're wondering why I give it any stars. It's because what I ask of it is to mince up a little garlic, ginger, onion, maybe some olives, or some fresh herbs. Maybe whip up one or two eggs. At these tasks, it works well, and fast. I save myself washing out the big food processor. And maybe with the next mini-prep I'll go more robust, but checking reviews in 2025, I saw a lot more fancy stuff that didn't come so highly recommended. These little guys tend to break fast anyway; that's my calculus.*I've had my Vitamix for...I think 15 years? It's a beast. Along with my late 1980's Kitchen Aid mixer, it's an heirloom for future generations. I guess for me it's gold standard or something I won't cry over, and no in between.

So far, so good!
Quite happy with this thus far (3 weeks into use). Wanted a small food processor for chopping/making pesto/etc. This meets my needs.PROS:- Low cost so low risk in case it sits in my cabinet for months at a time!- Chopped up fresh basil & pine nuts & garlic with ease. Made a great pesto!- Can "shred" a block of cheese for easier melting. Nothing pretty in the end product but easier than doing by hand if you don't mind the output.- Easy to clean up and store.CONS:- Don't let the kids wash the blade. My teen did, and gave himself a nasty cut on the sharp blade!

Plenty of power for its size. Easy-to-use and clean.
Great little kitchen tool. As a single, I really didn't need another big device to clutter my counter. I can store it in a cabinet saving space. Powerful and gets the job done. I would buy again.

Perfect size for small kitchen jobs, but a bit loud
I’ve had this Hamilton Beach Mini Food Processor for a few weeks now, and it’s earned a permanent spot on my kitchen counter. I already own a Ninja and a Vitamix, so I wasn’t exactly in need of another appliance, but I found that when it comes to smaller jobs - chopping a single onion, pulsing some herbs, or making a quick salsa - the bigger machines are just overkill. They don’t work well unless there’s a good amount of volume, and clean-up becomes a chore. This little 3-cup unit fills that gap perfectly. What stands out most is how effective the blade design is. The cross-sectional profile seems especially well thought out - it doesn’t just spin, it actually chops, giving you consistent results without turning everything into mush. The motor also surprised me. For its size, it delivers quite a punch. I’ve used it to mince garlic/ginger/chillies, puree cooked vegetables, and make small batches of pesto, and it hasn’t struggled yet.Cleanup is a non-issue. Everything rinses off easily, and the compact parts don’t take up half the sink like the Vitamix does. My only complaint is the noise. For such a small machine, it’s surprisingly loud - like industrial-blender level rickety loud. It’s not a deal breaker, but you probably don’t want to run it while someone’s on a phone call nearby. If you do a lot of solo cooking or just want something convenient for quick tasks, this one makes a lot of sense. Just brace for the noise.

Love it for garlic and onions!
My husband and I both love this mini processor, especially for onions. It's quick and the amount of processing is easily controlled by just pressing the lid. I needed to mince green onions for a salad dressing and this little jewel did it in a few seconds. It's easy to clean and small enough that we keep it out since we mostly cook from scratch. We use a lot of garlic and onions and this makes it so quick and easy! The only thing we don't know is how long it will last, but since it's pretty simple, I think it will be a while.
