I think this is really worth the extended battery life. Especially if your vlogs/recordings go a little longer... theres nothing like having that piece of mind of extended battery life

Bought some 3rd party batteries at about half this price. Thought I was smart and about a year later all those batteries won't run for longer than 15 or 20 mins.I imagine GoPro won't warranty their stuff with 3rd party batteries and in the long run you aren't saving any money.

Yep it's a lot of money, but we've all tried the knock off batteries- enough said. I invested in two new batteries for my last trip so 3 total of GP name brand. Zero regrets for this investment. Two batteries lasted most days, depending on our activity. I was out to make videos. I would have been juggling 6 knockoffs in the same timeframe. Save yourself dragging around several backups and buy this battery and take one battery just in case. Love my new GP10.
