Easy to set up, very beautiful, takes about 8 minutes to make one cup of coffee. Next time I’ll add more coffee grounds than recommended to see if I can increase the strength of the coffee (obviously can’t adjust the brew time), or try espresso ground. Good physics lesson. Edit: this has become my go-to way to make coffee when I’m home alone. Quicker than my French press (which makes a stronger cup of coffee), and not a whole pot. I don’t use the cloth filter and use regular grounds. Espresso ground doesn’t make a difference as much as the amount of grounds. It’s not as hard to clean as I thought: wash the glass cup and rinse out the metal reservoir. Pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoy this.

I knew I have to get one of this after tasting and watching how this art piece brews a delicious cup in my colleague s house- warming party. You can t imagine the excitement I was in when I finally received this. It looks very classy and much prettier than in the pictures. The rose gold chrome finished is flawless with its beautiful wood base. Overall the device quality is excellent. ++ Lovely gourd shaped fulcrum s base. Nice COFFEE emblem on the counter weight. U handle make it easy to move around. But always carry the spirit burner separately. ++ The whole device is very stable with it sturdy wooden board base that houses the spirit burner, Brews and Boiler flask. ++ Uses no electrical power. So even when the power is out, there will be no problems for me in sipping a cup of awesome coffee. ++ Brewing is semi-automatic. The spirit burner will shut itself off so you do not have to baby sit it while its brewing. ++ This device is pretty easy to operate and brewing coffee with it is fun and entertaining. To improve your technique, you can get a lot of operation information for this device on the web, although it came with an easy to understand English manual. ++ Brewing and Boiler flasks are made of borosilicate glass and stainless steel. Both materials are easy to handle and is a breeze to clean. ++ A great conversation starter and has make all my coffee loving friends jealous! It has truly earned itself a place on the dining table. I love this coffee maker. I use it 2-3 times for almost every day. It makes a very smooth cup of coffee and is always fun to watch. It will take about 15 minutes to get your delicious coffee at max capacity of 500ml for 2 good satisfying cups. This is one of the best systems I have ever used. With the same coffee beans, the brews clearly taste better with this than with an electric coffee maker. For me, this coffee maker is worth every penny spends. I will recommend it without hesitation to anyone looking for a new coffee maker.

I bought this as a gift for my husband's birthday and, while it took a minute to learn how to properly use it, once he did, he absolutely loved it. I thought this would be something he used once and then stored. Nope. He has used it nearly every day since his birthday because it's fun to use and because the coffee is so incredibly smooth. It's absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this for people who are obsessed with coffee. It's really beautiful, too.

As with all coffee makers , It is all about the quality of the coffee you put in, I have tried with various different brands and grinds. It seems to work better with a finer grain coffee and adding just a little more than you normally would. The set up was fairly stright forward , but I would recommend watching a video or two on youtube just to make sure. It is a great show piece and frequently my friends ask for coffee just to watch the show. The reusable cloth filter is a bit of a pain to wash but better for the environment, so there is that trade off, I bought extra cloth filters just incase but they last for hundreds of uses if you take good care of them. The upside, it makes great coffee in an interesting way that's fun to share with guests and requires no electricity (it uses denatured alcohol in a lamp... sold separately). The negatives, it is slightly annoying to clean out after and only makes around 2 small cups of coffee at a time.

I use this for making high quality tea. I really enjoy watching the physics of this maker as I'm fond of vintage design. The only thing that I don't like about it is the burner, while it is attractive it doesn't get hot enough to boil the water. I chose to use a small liquid fuel camp burner or a small sterno camp gel fuel, it heats hotter and faster and since the water is in a sealed container, the fuel doesn't lend it's odor to the taste. The Materials are high quality stainless and glass. This maker isn't really for a group of people as it only makes about 12 ounces at a time however it makes about the most delicious tea I've ever made. One of these days I'll try making coffee with it.

I saw a video of this and wanted to try it. It is now my go to coffee maker. It looks great on the counter, is easy to use, and makes great tasting coffee. Be warned, this is not for someone who must have coffee "right now". I can stumble around in the morning for 15 mintues to wait for the coffee to brew (as long as no one talks to me), so I don't mind the wait. But you will wait. It takes about 15 minutes from the time you light the lantern for the coffee to brew. It also only makes about 1.5 large cups or 2.5 standard cups at a time. Not meant for two or more people. But super portable. I carry it to my office and can sit and relax while it brews next to me. And everyone loves how it looks!

Bought this for my coffee-loving wife. It's fun to watch once you get it all set up. It's not something you use all the time so it acts kinda like a piece of art on display when not in use.

The polished rose gold design looks stunning, and it makes my morning coffee feel special every single day. I love using it, brewing with this feels like a whole experience, not just making coffee.

Preso come regalo di Natale, l'immagine del caffè con cui è corredato inganna: la polvere non sta abbastanza in infusione per produrre qualcosa che assomigli anche solo vagamente al caffè. Per il resto è ok.

It works, but you better not be in a hurry. It takes about 20 minutes to brew. Though I suspect the burner or the wick could be upgraded to make it faster. Setup and cleanup are not the easiest either. So it's mostly decorative, I guess.

Leider war für mich anhand der Beschreibung nicht erkennbar, dass es sich um ein Billigprodukt aus China zu überhöhtem Preis handelt. Die Verpackung und auch die Beschreibungen sind nur auf Englisch und mit chinesischen Schriftzeichen. Es sollte sich um ein Geschenk von den Kollegen für unsere Chefin handeln- jetzt denkt sie sicher, wir haben ihr billigen Müll gekauft. Nun ist es zu spät, etwas anderes zu besorgen. Wenn ich könnte, würde ich 0 Sterne geben.
