Yes, this is a standard cast iron grill press. However, the advertising is very deceptive. Just below the product description is a giant ad for the Bellemain Company. It tells the story of the young Frenchman (with a easily recongnizable name) coming to America and starting this successful company. Nowhere does it say that the press is made in China. The Amazon description never mentions this is a Chinese product. It makes you wonder about the product safety when you are pressing Chinese iron onto your food. Also, notice the lack of the actual packaging in the photos. You see everything except for the cardboard wrapper where it says "made in China" in 4 point font.I am going to send it back primarily because of the deception.

Reasonable price. I bought it to up my panini game and I have to say this delivered. Very happy with it so far
