ASIYUN Soundbar 10W Wired and Wireless Speaker Audio Stereo Long-Standby for Smartphones Tablets Projector and Wireless Devices

My television setup is primarily run through an Alexa FireTV Cube.Everything works until you turn the television off. When I turn the television back on, Alexa can speak through the speaker (the soundbar, not the FireTV Cube speaker). But when I attempt to use an app on the FireTV such as YouTube, the sound will not come out. In order to get sound, I have to turn off the speaker via the manual knob (not ideal). Then the FireTV will say that the bluetooth speaker is disconnected, confirming that it was indeed connected prior to turning it off. When I turn the speaker back on, it reconnects and the FireTV puts up another message indicating this. The speaker also says aloud "Bluetooth connected." If Alexa can run through the speaker without me turning the speaker back off and on, then why can't the apps? Amazon, please fix this! If the volume wasn't controlled via a manual knob, I would connect it to my television directly. But I don't want to have to use a separate, cheaply made remote just to change the volume.

Low cost option for my tv, wanting something i could listen to the tv at a lower volume than the lowest volume available on my tv. Every time i turn it on, there is a very loud accouchement of Audio Link Mode. Why? It's so stupid. Who thought of designing a speaker that give a very loud announcement every time you turn on a speaker. It is completely unnecessary. Why some manufacturers believe this is needed is beyond me. At night i don't want a loud announcement that will disturb my neighbors. I just received it today and I'm already considering returning it just for this reason alone.

Update: I was so annoyed that the sound bar didn't work, I decided to scour the internet and this page a few more times to see *if* I may have missed some clue about how to make it work. At last, it was on the Amazon product description."Hold long pause button" to change source. Well, it's really hard to even see that there is a pause button or distinguish it from the other buttons with tiny black plastic raised lines on the back. After trial and error, turns out pause is the middle button.I also plugged directly into the tv's aux instead of using the adapter for RCA cables.Confidence rising, I read more random discussion boards about adjusting all of the tv audio settings. Best advice was that it doesn't matter what they're labeled. Adjust one at a time until there's improvement.Yeah, the speaker distorts if volume is high. TV must also have volume turned to an appropriate level for speaker to play. Battery life isn't great. It seems to want to pair with any Bluetooth device even while plugged into tv, until you hold the pause button down for several seconds to switch input source.Damn. My tv/audio/video set up skills may have caught up to at least the year 2000. Ha!---------Although it's described as simple to set up, it is not compatible with an older HD tv. It comes with an RCA cable, yet it still does not work. Amazon customer service chat was not helpful one bit. Returning!

I was very happy with this purchase. The sound quality was much better than expected. I love that it has a remote. It was really easy to connect to my tv. Sounds great. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

solid unit; a bit heavy; need to listen to computer voice telling you if it is receiving blue tooth or wired connection to source. If trying to receive blue tooth and you are connected by included wired connector it won't make any sound. Unplug and it works fine. Can be confusing at first. Good Sound

Purchased for my daughter she lives it. Loves using the Bluetooth feature. Wish it was a little louder.

When you turn on the device there is this overly loud announcement ‘Audio link mode’.Wish that could be disabled as it really is too loud and offers zero value add to the consumer.Otherwise works well as a speaker for the TV in the bedroom.

Very, very bad sound quality. Shrill highs, no mids at all (really bad frequency response, complete hole in the mid-range). I'm not a bass head by any means, so I was suspicious of all the reviews that say this thing doesn't have enough bass. We live in an age of Beats by Dre where people judge headphones and speakers purely based on bass and nothing else. But when I listened to this speaker, it really does have no bass at all. I have a small Ultimate Ears bluetooth speaker, and it has 5 times the bass this does. Everything sounds very thin and tinny. There was barely any difference between this speaker and the speakers on my TV. I was expecting a much better improvement.A few other issues too: the device can be used as either bluetooth, or as an amp for an auxiliary signal coming through a 3.5mm plug. The problem is, when you insert the 3.5mm plug, the unit automatically switches the aux mode, and bluetooth automatically shuts off. This means you cannot keep it connected to the 3.5mm plug and use bluetooth. If you have it connected to your TV or other device through the 3.5mm cord, and you want to use the bluetooth function, you can't just change the mode, you have to physically unplug the 3.5mm plug out of the back of the unit. This is very inconvenient, as I wanted to keep it permanently connected to my TV, but occasionally use it as a bluetooth unit.The quality of the auxiliary input is bad. I can hear hum and distortion when playing from various devices. My good audio system in the living room doesn't have any distortion from the same sources, even with the volume turned all the way up. Whereas this device has a lot of distortion and EMI when using the auxiliary function.It's got an annoying blue light that stays on unless you physically turn the knob.Build quality is poor.Honestly, this item is complete garbage. Be careful what you buy.

Recently, I have been looking for a new Bluetooth speaker since my old one was dying out. The volume of my previous speaker is getting so quiet now that the max volume on it is around the medium volume on the new sound bar that I just purchase. I was also looking for a speaker that could fit my small desk just a speaker which is long in length and thin for the width. On the new sound bar I was really looking forward to the quality and the volume. When the sound bar came I couldn’t hesitate but to open the box right away.AND THE MOMENT OF TRUTH.The speaker was just the right size for my desk and it looks really well with my desk too.The sound quality is okay in my opinion. It’s not the best and it’s not the worst unlike some out there in the market.Connecting to bluetooth was really easy too.Some improvements they should add to their speaker ,is to their material.Currently the outside cover material is mostly made from plastic, which is an easy to break material.Still overall it’s good for the price! Thumbs up

I'm not one who knows a lot about audio. All I was looking for is something to increase the volume on my TV a bit so I wasn't looking for anything uber expensive or fancy. I got this on sale and man was it worth it! Setup was super easy. Got it up and running in a minute or two. And it's small enough to fit in front of my tv.Love this speaker. Would definitely recommend!
