I bought the double pack of these retractable badge holders around 4 years ago. I had gone through 5 or 6 fairly expensive ones from Walmart before deciding to buy these. I am still on #1 of 2! The 2nd one will be great when/if I ever need it. The plastic is worn a little bit on the sides of the actual piece that holds your badge, but the material is reinforced with some kind of (fabric?) material, so it's barely notable. The metal button that you fasten can get loose with time (as in, years). If that happens, just grab a pair of needle nose pliers and pinch the metal prongs tight again, the part that clasps the button.The metal body has held up well, the cable is a champ, and reinforced with plastic housing. I use this thing probably 50 times in a day, every day, for 40 hours a week. Absolutely no complaints - it's rare that I can tip my hat to a solid product anymore.

I have to carry a crap load of keys at my job and most times stuff them in my pants pockets. This product has fixed that problem and made it easier to access my keys during work. I have been using it for a few weeks now and have nothing bad to say about this product. It is very well made, durable and easily clips to my belt. The price is reasonable and actually just order another set to give to my co-workers.

These are heavy duty. With regular use can last at least 8 month or more. Used for daily use and are definitely worth it.

It's heavy duty for sure. It lasted me a year but I'm pretty hard on them. Constant badge swipes daily for my job. I re-ordered because they are better than what's out there currently. Would be nice if they were aluminum body instead of plastic.

The material of the top is a light plastic, but the cable runs very smoothly. No issues after a week of use, so time will tell if it's durable. The light feeling of it makes it feel cheap, but it's going strong so far.

Literally just broke on me. But it lasted 18 months of continuous abuse. I work in maintenance and keep my key card on it. I must extend and retract this reel dozens on times a day. The failure point was the cable. I gave out my space a year ago so I guess I'll pick up another.

Overall not bad. The clip is easy to slide over your belt and it's sturdy, but gentle enough that it's not ruining my belt like the previous one I owned. The retractable cord is not super responsive. Worked fine the first couple weeks but now it gets stuck a lot and won't retract all the way. If I pull them out again and let it retract it usually works the second time. Not bad for the price but retraction mechanism could use some work.

It works so great for what I need it for and it’s durable, it hold my work keys very good on my belt
