PowerA Super Mario Collector Pins: Series 1 - One Randomly Selected Pin

As blind boxes go, the Power A pin collections are among my favorites - When I get duplicates, I give them to friends or family, and the full sets stay with me! I've gotten the Mario Enemies and Mario Kart blind boxes in the past, and these are no less stunning. With a blind box, you get a random pin which will be one of the characters pictured in the description - you cannot choose which character you get - it's random and that's part of the fun. As luck would have it, I only ordered one of these, and ended up with Thwomp - Even though he is my least favorite of the bunch, he still makes for an amazing pin. These are a bit weighty, solid pins, with a butterfly clutch on the back. Thwomp is nearly 1.5 inches tall (~3.75 cm), so these are a nice size. The back is long enough for these to be pinned on some thick fabric. The colors are quite vibrant and there are even some raised details; Thwomp's "freckles" on his face feel bumpy and textured, just like a stone would. As a Nintendo fan, and especially as a Super Mario Bros. fan, I'm glad I didn't pass these up... now I'm looking to get the whole set!

Pros: The pin itself is very sturdy, well designed, and the backing is metal. I am confident that this pin will not fall off or can be easily pulled off my bag. The backing is metal and has notches so the metal locks in place. The pin is very shiny and the colors pop well off of surfaces. Con: This is a personal con and is something I knew when purchasing this item so I won't knock a star off for it. But what you get is random. Shy Guy is my favorite character, and I really want a pin of him, so I took the chance that I might get him since he is a common enemy. The Bob-omb is still really cute and was among my top 4 choices, so I'm not completely dissatisfied. The piranha plant and the goomba are among my other picks behind the shy guy. Better luck next time.

Don't be discouraged by the other reviews. It clearly states that it is one pin, at random, that you receive. There is no control over getting duplicates as they come sealed in a foil bag and in a box showing the possibilities. Also, there's no way 8 pins of this level of quality would be $4.99 for ALL of them, so that is an unfortunate review as well. I got the Wario in the package, not what I wanted, but like a blind bag or something similar, the risk of randomness is part of the purchase. I'm ordering two more because the pin itself is high quality, resin colored metal lapel pin, and am entirely satisfied. I wish they offered a lot more like this for other games.

I purchased this because I thought it was for all of the pictures pins. It felt like a reasonable price and I was excited to have this collection. Instead, I got a mystery box. It had Mario in it. The pin itself is BEAUTIFUL and it's made of great quality. But, it's still more expensive than what I would ever spend on a single pin. It got 4 stars instead of five because the description was not clear. Otherwise, it's a nice product. It just wasn't what I was expecting.

Usually during these blind box-type things I don’t really get what I want. I usually get exactly what I don’t want.... however! This was not the case. I ended up getting Tanooki Mario which is one of the ones I wanted! The size is actually pretty large for a pin. (See pic scale) It is quite a bit bigger than a quarter. The coloration was good. There were no chips in the color or discoloration. The back of the pin is black with the Nintendo Copyright for those who care about licensed products. I would say this is a nice quality item! Try your luck and see which one you get!

Just one pin when the pictures show an entire set. The display pic needs to be changed to what is actually being sent out, so that it’s clear it’s one random pin from a set.

I've bought 5 of these pins, and received 1 as a gift, each on a separate order. Pins were Bowser, Mario, Bowser, Peach, Yoshi, and Bowser. That's just the nature of blind box items. The pins have a good heft and deep colouring. Con: I could easily see the tac backing falling off. If you want a specific pin, the secondary market would probably be cheaper in the long run. I want Lakitu, but it'd probably take more than 16 pins to get him. (Odds listed are: Gold Mario 1:64, Lakitu 1:16, Bowser 1:8, and everyone else 1:6.)

The one I didn't want was Mario, and that was the one I got. lol. It is still super cute and well made. My kids already said they would take it from me. That's not happening. I do love it.

¡Me encantaron! Los pines son grandes y por lo mismo me hubiera gustado que tuvieran 2 sujetadores en vez de uno ya que rotan fácilmente. Son cajas selladas y los pines que llegan son aleatorios. En un primer pedido de 3 me llegó el Lakitu repetido y Bowser; en un segundo pedido, me llegó el Mario dorado y Toad. Son de muy buena calidad, colores vibrantes y lucen donde quiera que los lleves.

Very over priced for 1 badge!!

Es un pin en su caja de cartón. Lo único que no puedes elegir la figura que te toca. El pin, en sí, es bastante grande aunque para el precio que vale es normal. Imagino que al ser exclusivo y de ciertas ediciones los pines sin especiales. Recomendable para fans de Mario Kart o coleccionistas de pines.

El pedido llegó antes de lo esperado eso me encantó, me lleve un poco de de solución ya que solo viene 1 pin por caja :( ; aunque acepto que fué mi error por no leer bien; la calidad del producto es increíble, muy detallado me encantó!!!
