Butterfly
It was ok. It was a bit hard to propel the wing and to keep it secure

Very pretty, cute and fun- try try again!
The rubber-band powered, propellor butterfly is plenty of fun for those who are interested and willing to persevere! The rubber band ( one butterfly I checked) didn’t break, it didn’t seem dry rotted, and after a few tries to release it into the air like a dove, my technique improved. I think this is a toy that teaches experimentation by means of trial and error. If at first you don’t succeed, try, try and try again. I purchased this batch hastily - before I saw a better per unit price. It is worth keeping (a week or so) to give away along with Halloween treats. I’m not sure how much kids get to practice things with rubber-band powered, or many other previously known as old-time, home- made toys, I think it makes for memorable and very worthwhile experiences. The size is large for small hands and easily found after releasing. I wouldn’t think it to be hazardous with adult supervision. Having tried one of these butterflies, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy a bigger batch- if I could be sure the rubber bands were as fresh - how does one know they are unlikely to break?

Pretty…but They go straight down
These would be so great if they did not go straight down. Wind the rubber band and let go but never go up just down. Pretty and great idea but do not fly as advertised.

True to color and a great surprise
These are so fun to jazz up a present or card! My kids love to wind them up and put them in books all over the house as well. They are pretty light and could definitely be ruined easily, but with care they can be used many times. You simply have to twist it and place it somewhere that it won't move until you want it to fly. The more you twist it, the more it will fly. So far they have shocked and delighted grandparents, aunts, and my children many times over. Even the cat likes them, but they don't withstand her attacks very well.

Hard Pass
So I have tried to get fly height on these things multipleeeee tries. One broke as I will show in the video. The video is actually the best fly result I have gotten so far!!! If you want to chance a few working out the whole set be my guest. Again the video was the first decent one.The higher up you hold it ,the quicker it falls. To me the plastic that holds it together is too heavy which causes it to drop so fast. I believe a lighter construction would help it stay a drift longer. I dont know about height. They dont fly up.They shimmy down. They are also noisy. If the person scares easily or an elder. I don't know If I would pack a bunch of these as an open box surprise. Sounds like the little cracker poppers I played with as a kid that you would just throw on the ground or the little toy guns that had the little powder tabs that made the bang bang sounds. Add a few dozen bee buzzing sounds & thats exactly these little ditties here lol...
