Glass Paint Lacquer Stain Sample Kit, 5 Pack, 1.5-ounce Professional, Permanent Stained Glass Finish

I'm really happy with these. The colors are rich and translucent and quite durable once it dries and has time to cure, and it really bonds to the glass. These paints dry very, very quickly, so when you work with them, keep in mind that the applied paint will begin drying within seconds. Therefore, you don't want to rework the area you just painted or it will get sort of "gummy" and will smear if you go back to add more paint over that area while it's only semi-dry. The quick drying is a nice benefit, however, because you can layer other colors (or the same color) over the original coat pretty soon after the first coat is applied--but again, make sure it's dry, and not semi-dry before adding additional coats. The colors provided in this group are beautiful and the orange is a rich, deep orange, almost like amber. I would suggest you work outdoors and wear some latex gloves to protect your hands and so you don't inhale the solvents in the paints. If you want to really be cautious and not inhale solvent fumes, you can plug in a small fan to gently move the air (and thus the fumes) away from you. Just don't paint the glass if there's a strong wind that might blow dust onto your project, which would not be fun.

I have been using these colors on acetate fairy wings for my dolls and also on crystals and crystal chains. When I need red color crystals, for instance, and I only have plain crystal chain, I just paint them red. Color is gorgeous. I have also painted crystal bows in different colors. For wings, I have also used Sakura 3D lacquer on top of the glass paint. The effect is amazing.

The paints perform as expected and love the results. The paints are truly translucent, achieving the stained glass look was easy and dries very quickly. Am gonna have to experiment with a different lead lines, as the plaid brand doesn't stick very well. Shipping took forever (at least it seemed that way to me), but the product arrived safely....no thanks to mailman who delivered to another house 4 streets over...luckily the guy brought it right over. ;)

These paints are beautiful. They have good pigmentation and build for more depth quite easily. The picture attached shows the colours on a clear piece of glass with 1,2 and 3 layers of colour.
