100% recommend! I purchased this product because of the good reviews. My granddaughter is 3 yo. and a serious thumb sucker while holding the same blanket since birth. I painted her thumbs at night while she was asleep at night. On day 1, I painted her thumb nails during the day, so that she could c it was awful tasting. Nevertheless, I tasted it first. The taste stays in your mouth for a really long time, yuck . The habit was broken for sure by day 3. But to make sure, I continued painting her thumb nail for a week. It been 2 weeks and she doesnt even think about sucking her thumb nor her blanket. Even while she sleeps. However, after a bath or alot of hand washing, it will need to be reapplied because it washes off. No worries if you forget because they wont forget the taste lol. Her teeth were forming as a thumb sucker. I had to try something NOW. Please try this product 1st. :)

This is the only thing that's worked more than a week for my toddler. After hundreds of dollars spent on different things (thumb guards, arm devices to stop from reaching, other short lasting bitter treatments, star charts and rewards, etc.) This is the first product that has worked. It last about 5 days until I repaint and it strongly discourages my kid without making food taste gross too (which was my issue with nixxit bc it'd leak EVERYWHERE). So far I am so pleased with this. Dried quickly too so you can do it without worrying about it smearing. A gentle blow will dry it in 2 minutes. Thank God for this product.

It definitely works. My 3 year old stopped biting her nails within days. The only part that might deter people is that the taste will linger and trigger gag reflexes. It is strong but effective if you have tried everything and need a more intense approach. It will make everything you touch and eat taste horrible. Especially when eating any finger foods which can be hard for little ones but. I just had my daughter use utensils and she was fine.

I bought this for my 10 year-old son who is always chewing on his nails. We all know how gross boys are and how much dirt they’re always in. I was skeptical that this was gonna work for him, but the first time he went to chew on his nails and tasted the taste. He was absolutely disgusted. The downside is it only lasts at the max two days on his fingers because he’s so active with jiu-jitsu and constantly being outdoors. You’re gonna have to reapply it quite frequently if you have an active child.

Definitely works! Doesn’t last 24 hours but has helped my toddler with her thumb sucking during the day. Still out powers the taste at night 😭

My son stop sucking fingers literally in 2 days the first day he vomited every food out and at night he tried it again and ending up not sucking his thumb and the second day before school at added again didn’t suck it ever since… lol it help and he’s only 24 months

This didn't really work for us but it could just be a preference thing.Our child did not care, she did enjoy having her nails shiny though 😂The battle against hands/fingers in mouth continues!

Great concept but didn’t phase my kid. She didn’t mind the taste. It’s AWFUL. Don’t know how she can still suck her thumb
