A Solid Metal Giraffe for Your Camera
The TARION Top Tripod Camera Desk Mount is basically a skyscraper for your camera, clamped right onto your desk. I needed an overhead rig for unboxings and top-down shots, and this beast delivered exactly what I hoped. The construction feels solid enough to survive a mild earthquake, with sturdy metal tubing and robust clamps that grip your desk tighter than a toddler clings to a juice box. Adjusting height and angle is straightforward, and there’s no annoying wobble even with a mirrorless camera up top.At 36 inches of vertical reach, you can get that perfect bird’s-eye view without turning your workspace into a spaghetti mess of light stands and tripods. Plus, the included extension arm means you can position your camera exactly where you need it, leaving plenty of room for lighting or a second monitor. Pros:✔️ Rock-solid build✔️ Strong clamp with no desk damage✔️ Great vertical range for overhead shots✔️ Easy assembly and adjustments Cons:➖ Slightly bulky if you’re in a tiny workspaceOverall, if you want to level up your desk studio with stable, no-drama overhead shots, the TARION Desk Mount is the best metal giraffe money can buy. Highly recommended for any content creator.

Couldn't be better
This desk/drawing table mount for my camera is a great value for my purposes - it was easy to set up, gives me great flexibility in angling my camera for the video angles I want, and compared to the old scissor arm desk mount, the design is super sturdy and adjusts really easily. I am using a dslr and I added a fairly heavy ball head with quick release instead of the manual ball head that comes with it, and there is no problem with it's functionality with the extra weight - it could definitely take more.

Impossible to Adjust
Update: Seller reached out and made things right. In addition, after a few weeks of work, I've gotten used to the way I had to install it, and it serves its purpose well.Overall the item seems well constructed, and should mostly fit my needs, but it has one major manufacturing issue that will make it less functional than it could be. Due to the location of the shelves above my desk, it would be most useful to set this up with the base in the horizontal configuration. Unfortunately, even though the included instruction booklet describes the assembly of the base plate and articulation joint in the very first step, mine came preattached. In the wrong position. And the bolt was thoroughly seized. Great. Since the torque necessary to loosen the bolt was far greater than the (dismal) yield strength of the steel from which it was made, I'm now the proud owner of a stripped out bolt. I didn't even get a chance to apply much torque. Were talking maybe fifteen in-lb here. It's a small allen wrench. So even though this advertises versatility in the position of the clamp position, don't count on it. Chances are, they could all be this way.

Works for me
The media could not be loaded. This was the only one I could find with the length and options I needed because I wanted to connect to the side not the top. It is working and I've had it set up for six weeks, we even had a tropical storm with maybe 40 mph wind gust, and it hasn't budged. The poles are very sturdy metal. I wish they were 1 inch longer or if there was an option just to buy one longer pole. The metal poles are very heavy, and do contribute to some of the unsteadiness, because I have this attached horizontally rather than vertically. The joints are all plastic. I am pretty certain if you wanted to take this apart and move it a lot it would fail pretty fast. I tightened the knob at the mount as much as I thought I could without cracking it. It really wants to spin to the left but since I don't touch it at all it has stayed. The other two joints in the middle are like gears so you do not have a high degree of custom positions, it's approximately a quarter inch for each turn.It took a lot for me to get the shoe off to mount it on the side instead, they give you an Allen wrench and I ended up laying it on the floor and stepping on the wrench with my foot because it was screwed on so tight.I had a very specific and unique situation and this worked so I'm giving it five stars. I also thought it was a very fair price. If you need to mount something and leave it there, I highly recommend this. It would also work well if you only have to turn it where the bar connects to the clamp in a vertical situation.I do wish it came in white but maybe I will paint it one day.Note that the piece on the top where I have the ring outdoor cam attached is something I already had (repurposed selfie stick camera holder), it did not come with this. This came with a ball joint attachment that I did not use.
