This mug is great! It looks even better in person. I did purchase this as a gift. The gifted person has chose not to use this mug but rather as a collected item on display.

This thing is so BA... The size, the details, the finish, everything is top knotch. I got one for me and one for my dad. We are Jacksons, direct Danite viking decent. These mugs will hear us "Skol!" proudly many times for many years to come. These mugs are honestly a bit beyond my expectations. We love everything about them. Couldnt be happier with my purchase and if i ever lose my viking ship mug im definitely getting another one. This thing is a show piece and ill make sure everyone that comes in my home sees it. Ordered this for my nephew's eighth birthday so he can drink root beer out of it on family game nights, at cabin campfires, watching movies, etc. I figured he might get a kick out of it, but I was a little surprised at just how much he actually loved it. He kept thanking me over and over, and he used it at every meal over the weekend all of us were together. It was a huge hit and he kept walking around showing it to everyone and saying, "check this out!" The stein itself was a little bigger than I expected, which was great. It was also heavier than I expected, which was also great. The quality is pretty impressive. I know it's resin on the outer shell, but it feels really solid and when you tap on it, it feels more like metal. It certainly made my nephew's birthday special. I liked it enough that I might get one for myself as well.

Got this for my fiancé as a Christmas gift and he really loves it! Holds a standard 12 oz beer and the aesthetic to it is great. It keeps the beer pretty cold for a bit of time as well. The only negative is that he wishes it was a little bit bigger, but still a good size.

Really loving the look of this mug so far. Not sure what I could really say about drinking out of it however. The outer layer looks like it could be made out of resin and epoxy or something. I doubt this is an issue with all copies but mine had a faintly chemical smell to it fresh out the box. And I mean even after I gave it a good rinse with hot water. I'm hoping that will go away with time, and that the designs and print and whatnot doesn't fade away. But all in all, I've had coffee and beer out of this thing in equal measure. And although it has a funny smell to it, it's a very nice looking cup.
