Definitely much better than the standard aluminum products. I used it for my dryer and I can tell that it’s insulated. When I had the standard aluminum I could feel the heat emitting from the dryer; not anymore with this product.

Product installed as substitution to the 8 inch metal duct pipe not provided and unavailable in the market, needed to finalized the installation of a GE Profile Kitchen Vent Hood.

I use this with a Chinese diesel heater for camping. Works good. I applied some of the silver aluminum heat tape about 2 inches deep on the inside and outside surface of the flexible tube where it attached to the heater so it had a bit more thickness and stayed flat. The ends are not finished real well as it comes.

Using it to duct a diesel heater up to a roof top tent, works well, does not seem to be affected by the heat

"Four layers" implies insulation. But the "layers" are less than paper-thin. Also I had difficulty installing the hose because the wire coil reinforcement is a fraction too large in diameter. And, because the coils are widely spaced, the plastic hose tends to bunch up between them, so you get inadequate air flow.Pretty much useless for me.

The hose is effective for ventilation and easy to install with the included screw clamps. However, when hot air from a Diesel Heater passes through it, a strong, unpleasant chemical smell persists, which can be quite bothersome. Despite hoping the smell would dissipate over time, it has not. While the hose is flexible and sturdy, the odor makes it less suitable for applications where air quality is important.

It works as it is intended. I am using this on the air vent intake to help pull warmer air from my tent when using it on my portable diesel heater.
