This pedal is awesome . I put it first in the signal chain with helix , kemper and a firehawk 1500 and works great. It's a lot of fun and creative sounds I can get ! Definitely worth the price in my book Have not tried it in the loops yet. That's coming another day. Great pedal !I wanted to add it's not a sustainer pedal. But will feedback while it sustains the signal. Also, at times if you hold on to the note too long to will cut off abruptly so you need to keep an eye on the lights as the fade back. There are controls to fade in and out slower, but I wanted to add. This comment so you will know how this pedal behaves.

The pedal I didn't know I needed
If you want feedback in a controlled manner, this is the one!I play in a thrash band, which means playing with very high gain, so a noise gate is essential. My noise gate pedal is so good though that I can't feedback very easily until I found this pedal. For solo's, especially if you play a single note and want it to sing out this does it in a way that sounds very natural. So yes, I can have a noise gate that prevents noise and feedback AND the freqout on at the same time and they don't fight each other!Obviously pedal order and finding the right settings for your situation are essential. This pedal has changed how I approach some of my lead playing, which is a good thing. It's simple, and does one thing very well, so if you are looking for the first or second pedal to get, this isn't the one. But if you have your pedal setup mostly there and looking to see how to fine tune your sound, this might be the one for you.

This machine hits it right out of the park! It's very user friendly, versatile, compact and worth every penny. It takes a little getting used to in order to note hear a synth like trail off of a note but that is easily mastered to get authentic feedback at any volume level. I find that in order to sound like real feedback one needs to turn the 'range' control to a minimum setting. Then it works like a charm. Also, very important (to me anyway), this device doesn't Not affect your original tone. I'm very into getting the much desired tones from carefully selected instruments, pickups and amps...I do not want a device to color what I've worked long and hard to achieve. This device is awesome and I highly recommend it to anyone that wants to achieve feedback at any volume!

Awesome pedal, with considerations
Really cool pedal, probably as close as you can get to producing natural sounding feedback effects artificially. Just be aware that it is fussy when it comes to power supply configurations. First, it is a high power draw device and you will need a supply capable of atleast 300mA. Second, it introduces a considerable amount of clock whine into the supply. For that reason you will want to power this with either its own dedicated supply or its own isolated output from your pedalboard supply that is capable of delivering the current. Pedal also features a buffer while bypassed which comes in handy (no more drastic shift in brightness when engaging my boost!). I recommend placing the pedal as early in the chain as possible, with exceptions given if you have any pedals such as some fuzzes and wahs that work best seeing the high impedence directly from your guitar which should come before it since it is a buffered pedal.Definitely worth the money and it will stay on my board for the forseeable future. Just be sure to mind the power supply considerations!

Digitech FREQOUT FreqOut Natural Feedback Creator Pedal
The price was the best I found for a new one. It does what it purports to do, create controllable feedback at a volume you can set, be it a room, hall, etc. It also allows you to filter out the guitar sound itself, making it similar to the sound produced by an Ebow or similar device if desired. Put it first in your pedal chain for the best results and it will work great. The casing is metal and seems durable. Feedback on demand is what you'll get plus you can control several types of feedback this pedal produces.

Not a natural sound at all
Very fake sounding feedback that is limited to less than 10 seconds , cool concept poor execution don’t waist your money.

A must have pedal for an experienced guitar player.
This pedal gives you the ability to get beautiful feedback at any volume. It let's you play at bedroom volume but let a note ring and morph into a beautiful feedback that you can adjust the octave at which the note blooms into. It's best to leave it manual mode and step on it for certain notes that you want to turn into a musical sounding feedback. Its kind of like the Sustainer pickup system in a pedal. A must have pedal. It's very satisfying to step on it and let a note ring like you're standing next to a cranked Marshall except you're in your room. Totally worth 200$
