Not user friendly
Not user friendly. The process for opening the drive requires you to insert the drive, open File Explorer, locate the exe file and double click. You then get to the Ironkey main screen to put in the password. Shutting down is worse as the standard eject system fails to work - Windows 10 reports the drive is still in use by a different program and refuses to eject it. The only way I have found is to open task manager, force a shutdown of the ironkey software, and then eject the drive. I do not know whether this ensures any buffers are written to the drive before shutdown or whether I will end up with errors.

iPad lighting not supported
The Kingston IronKey Vault Privacy 50 doesn’t work on the IPad when the port is a lighting connector, even when using the camera adaptor for more power. I have finally got the genuine apple camera adapter as suggested on the Kingston web article and my iPad sends an error message that this device requires to much power.

Extremely poor design - it destroyed one of my usb port when I tried to slot it in. Return is charged to compound the issue. Avoid.
