RovyVonE3 Keychain Flashlight 700 High Lumens - Small EDC Flashlight Super Bright, Dual Power USB C Rechargeable Flashlight Compatible with AAA Battery, IPX7 for Everyday Carry/Camping(Black)

I recently was introduced to the flashlight world through Reddit /flashlight. The E3 caught my eye since it offered a unique combination of qualities that I find important. It has a high CRI, is small enough for everyday carry, and offers dual power options. I have to say, this light might be my favorite so far, but not for the reason you might think. The main reason is the keychain ‘hole’ is configured to allow the key ring to be installed in parallel with the body (can be installed perpendicular as well). This means it lays flat when worn with a lanyard. Although this wasn’t my original intention, I find carrying with a lanyard makes this the perfect EDC that is always with me. I can wear it to sleep or working out and with it under my shirt, I don’t even realize it’s there. It’s bright enough to use during night navigation, has usb-c charging, and I like having the ability to use AAA just in case. The UI is kind of odd, but not bad. I would call this the worlds greatest EDC, simply because lanyard carry means I’m never without it and can even carry a secondary light in my pocket if I need an extra option. I bought a second just in case this model is ever discontinued.

The 1st Flashlight I received had an issue with the battery compartment Latch, I believe this is a rare issue that has now been resolved. Massive credit to everyone in the Rovyvon team, who reached out to me to resolve the issue. Great communication and resolution from Rovyvon. Thanks Rovyvon :-)

This is a great little light. Very bright, the aluminum body has a very nice and durable feel to it. Fit and finish is also good. Dual power sources is a real game chanver in a rechargable edc light. Highly recommend this light.

It seems unbelievable that this product which was relatively expensive was not supplied with a charging cable. I can’t recall purchasing any small electronic item without the provision of such a cable.

Overall the flashlight is bright, sturdy, and works well. However, as a keychain flashlight it's massive. There are a few other items to mention about the four star review: the on/off button is too easy to push and gets mashed in my pocket. I frequently find the flashlight on when I take my keys out of my pocket. The instructions that come with the unit are poorly written and doesn't explain why you need both the AAA battery and a rechargeable battery to use the flashlight for more than moonlight mode.I think that I'll use this flashlight as a backup unit and find a smaller, rechargeable only, unit for my keychain.
