Tamed the Bulldog
The 44 Special is not an absolutely ferocious cartridge, but it can sure be a real handful in the light little Charter Arms Bulldog. The guns’ factory grip is not bad, but its compact size can make it squirm a bit when launching those big 44 cal slugs. The rubber compound Hogue uses in these grips provides a combination of cushion and tackiness that makes shooting more comfortable without feeling “squishy”. The more hand filling size and shape of the grip adds control too, at the expense of making the gun slightly less easy to conceal. It took just one session shooting to confirm the slight increased bulk is more than offset by the improvement in comfort and control. The Bulldog no longer bites on both ends.

Great fit. Big improvement over stock.
Much better feel than the stock grips. Very comfortable and the size is almost identical but gives a full grip.

Best possible grip for Charter Arms revolvers!
I really like Charter Arms revolvers, but the selection of grips just plain sucks. Nearly all are tiny or huge, and don't give a good balance of concealability and shoot ability. The new Hogue grip fits my Undercover perfectly, and is about as small as you can go and still be easy to shoot. Charter should do their customers a favor and just make this the standard grip on all their revolvers.

Always a solid product
Grips work great. My only complaint is that there were no directions on how to install (there were a couple loose parts in the bottom of the packaging), but a quick call to Houge customer service cleared it up right away. I have bought many different Houge grips in the past and this grip, like all the other grips, is a quality product. If I could wish for anything, it would be for Houge to make a set of wood grips for the Pitbull. I love the beauty of the Kingwood.

5 second install. Perfect fit.
Just as much grip area as stock wood/plastic panels (at least on a Charter Arms .44). Much more positive grip. First monogrip purchase... will buy more for other revolvers.

My least favorite grip from hogue
So I’ve used a few hogue grips on some revolvers for years and I love the way they help soak up recoil but these don’t seem to compared to stock from charter. They almost seem harder than the stock grips too. The palm swell is nice and I thought these would be more concealable to carry but they stick out just as much. Major downside is one they are installed, damn nearly impossible to remove. Customer service even recommends to remove by placing the gun in a vice. Why should I need a vice to remove a simple grip from a gun. I was able to get them removed after using a few small flat head as shims and vice grips and it was such a work out I was drenched with sweat by the time they finally budged

Great feel and fit
Had a hard time finding good grips for the old .38 special charter arms my girlfriend had. But this fits very well and really updates the look of this old gun. She likes it, I love it!

Nice grip, as are all Hogue products.
The quality is what I've come to know about Hogue over the years. This grip is a little abbreviated, not allowing a full purchase with your pinky. The nice thing about this grip is it's nice for conceal carry. The negative point is that you can't get your pinky on it, so I wouldn't recommend this for a new shooter, as this grip will make it hard to manage if you're shooting a 44 Spl. or especially a .357 magnum.
