I bought this to lower my systolic (top) blood pressure number, which usually hovers in the 130-140 range. Diaphramic breathing's science-backed to combat hypertension, but takes several weeks to see a positive difference. This breather's also good for athletes, & wind instrument players, really anyone really can benefit from expanded breathing capacity.The flexible mouthpiece fits easily in my mouth, & the User Instruction sheet indicates 2 adjustment knobs on the breather, but each user needs to adjust for their respiratory condition. The first few times I used the Ultrabreathe I got an incredible "head rush", so I turned down the adjustment. The mouthpiece comes off for easy cleaning, & I discovered the bottom slotted round cap at the opposite end of the mouthpiece unscrews, making cleaning a snap. Can't wait to SEE lower b.p. numbers.

And decided to see and try it out for myself.Living in the Netherlands I ordered it from Amazon.nl.Am I glad I did!(I also wonder if some of the critical and complaining reviews are even about this device...)Very well made, feels durable, and looks good.The In and the out breathing can individually be adjusted to nearly completely closed to fully open.Also handy that once in your mouth you have your hands free.Comes with a User Instructions, illustrated showing how to adjust the settings. And how to clean it.It recommends to two times a day doing 25 cycles of in and out breathings. (In... Out, 1, In... Out, 2. etc.)It surprises me how fast and short that is. Indeed no more than about 2 minutes.I got it to get a stronger voice. At 77 body age my voice has sounded weaker that when I was much younger, also because I live alone and don't use my voice much.But this device will make my voice strong again, strengthening my respiratory muscles.
