Great for young children, pretty complete
Very nice book. It's good for a young age group because it is very illustration heavy. Every page has a picture, and they often take up the entire page. The art style is fairly modern, which is nice because I feel like the smoother, not so-complex as normal fantasy/historical art style is easier for kids.My son is still a baby, too young for the book really. But I was getting very sick of reading "Brown Bear What Do You See," even if it is a great baby book for introducing adjectives/colors. He still likes the pictures and will get wide eyed over them. For now, it's a bit more to stop me from being bored; we do a chapter when I really don't want to do the same 10 page book for the 20th time, and my son doesn't seem to mind. It's fairly compete. It has the Iliad story (mostly focusing on the Trojan Horse that isn't actually in the Iliad, no Achilles), the Odyssey, Theseus and the Minotaur, Perseus and Medusa, Bellerophon and Pegasus, the Twelve Labors of Hercules, and some shorter ones (no Orpheus, Persephone, very short Jason bit though). Keeps true to the main stories but avoids a lot of the violence/sexual violence of the originals, which is nice.Great pick for a young child, really as young as they can follow a narrative, it is low on text and high on pictures. I will definitely check out the same brand's King Arthur and Norse Myth books, probably the science/history encyclopedias too, although those seem aimed at kids a bit older. John Stewart Mill may have read the Iliad in Greek by age 5, but my little guy already cleared the entire story in 5 mornings with this little book (lol). For people with kids a bit older, who could master the text here, there are also graphic novels that cover the myths at a bit of a higher level.

My 5 years old loves it
She makes me read this book every night for the last 30 days since we bought it. I skip only one story which i think might be scary for her to read at night based on pictures, otherwise it is very interesting and nice illustrations

Greek myths aren’t happy, but good introduction
We are planning a trip to Greece with our young child, and want to help her appreciate the historic setting of the country and sights we will be seeing. This book is thick and at first I thought it would be too advanced for her, but it is very easy for children to understand and it reads very quickly despite its size. One thing to be aware of is that not all of these stories have a happy ending! I was aware of this, but having them all back to back really emphasizes how the Greek gods were just as likely to punish their followers as they were to protect them.

Great book for kids
Used this to introduce the then second grader to Greek myths. At the time it was probably a little advanced reading but he loved the stories (especially the Minotaur and Medusa/Gorgon).
