South Shore Versa Collection 8-Drawer Double Dresser, Weathered Oak with Antique Handles

Very satisfied with this purchase. The dresser is beautiful and feels very sturdy. Assembly took about 3 or so hours with 2 people. Some of the parts could have been marked a little better(not all of the bags that the pieces came in are labelled but there are true-to-size pictures to help you figure out what's what) but we got through it. The process was tedious but it was one of the easier things that we built. Every piece fit together fine and nothing was off center, damaged, bent, etc. The dresser also came in 2 boxes but they arrived at the same time with all the parts we needed. The boxes also arrived a week early. I would buy other items from this collection/company again.

It looks good. I see a bit of uneven gap between the drawers but it doesn't bother me cuz I got it as a baby Dresser. It's heavy quality, good size to put changing pad. Drawers open and close smoothly and wood is smooth. It's definitely worth the price !!

I really love the sturdiness of the pieces and it’s a very good size for our bedroom. Be aware, however, it is quite a project to do on your own. If it’s just one person assembling it, it can take several hours. I started at 10:30am this morning and finished at around 6pm this evening. I’m a 4’11” female so that’s probably the absolute longest it should take anyone. There are so many pieces and the instructions were fairly easy to follow but it’s probably worth it to pay for the expert assembly. It’s not at all hard to assemble, but it just takes a while (if by yourself, a second person I’m sure cuts the time in half at least) Overall, it’s a really great piece of furniture, absolutely worth the price! I love it!!

Dresser came in two boxes that are heavy and awkward to carry by yourself but can be done. Everything arrived in excellent condition. No parts were missing. The assembly took more than two hours flying solo. Drawers are for a particular side so it will look off in the left side when it's meant for the right side FYI. I can't remember if the directions are clear about that or not. It's not the most sturdy, but it's not solid wood. It comes with a safety anchor if like that stuff.

This product is not hard to assemble, but as you're assembling it you notice that it is verflimsy and easy to break the screws crack the wood as they go in. It looks really nice and you might be tempted but it is really disappointing to build it and now you have a crappy dresser which you can't even return because you have to go through the hassle of bring it down and putting it in a box. Maybe if the product was 100$ it would be worth it but at this price they're ripping people off. Just spend a bit more and get a reliable product. DONT BUY!!!! There's no going back for me, don't get ripped off.

This was delivered quickly and was packed in such a way that even though there was damage to the exterior of the box, the pieces inside were without a scratch. The box is quite heavy!!! It was straightforward and fairly easy to assemble for those who have assembled any type of furniture similar to this. Directions always leave a bit to be desired with little to no words and pictures that are sometimes unclear. Assembled it by myself in about 30 minutes and it is very sturdy. Drawers slide smooth and most importantly my wife loves it!

I haven't had the dresser long enough to mention the quality, so I won't touch on that. It does look great, and it sounded like it was pretty easy to assemble (my wife did it). But, pay attention to the size of the drawers in the listing. They are deceptively small. I bought this dresser to replace an existing dresser. This dresser is the exact same footprint as the old one, but a little bit taller. Thus, I figured it would surely hold the clothes I had in the old dresser, especially after I donated a garage bag and a half. Even with that many clothes removed, only about half of what remains fits in this dresser. While the unit is 19" deep, the drawers are only 13 5/8" deep inside. There is four full inches of empty space in the back. Why on earth it's designed like this, I do not know. Secondly, the drawers are not nearly as high as they appear. The bottom is set in so much, that there's only about 4.5" of depth. So, I have to figure out what to do with almost half of my clothing. If I had paid closer attention and seen how little space was actually available, I would not have purchased this one.

Okay, the look is unbeatable. Very cute! Match our rustic weatherized bed frame so well. The installation might be a hard part so I hired a amazon contractor to do it. It took him 3 hrs so I think it was a good call for paying instead of doing it myself. I’m a bit surprised and disappointed that even the front is not real wood board. (Well, we all know the inside and the back is definitely not for this price.) Comparing to my $200 ikea, which has at least a real wood front, I feel it is not a very good price-quality choice. It was my fault that I didn’t read carefully before I bought it. The only thing really bothers me is the smell. Very strong chemical smell. I am not sure if it is safe for the family to sleep in the bedroom with it, especially with a baby. To make sure it won’t affect my baby’s health, it took us a lot of energy to move it to the living room ( yea it is not real wood but really really heavy...) I think it will stay in the living room for quite a while, which is very inconvenient for us...cuz it is blocking the way and also we cannot use it until it is a bit more clearer from the smell. If you are sensitive to smells like I do, I would suggest you skip this. Or, prepare to give it a bit time outside before you assemble it. update: south shore staff replied me that the smell is normal and safe which makes me feel better. I will still leave it in living room until the smell wear off but at least I know it won’t get us sick. Again, for the look I think the price is kind of fair. I won’t worry this much if I don’t have a baby so I changed it to 4 stars

Looks great! Good material, understandable instructions, drawers are sturdy and do not fall out. Great purchase! Very heavy, and make sure you have someone to help put it together, it did take a while.

Any issues I have is on the installer (me) ..don't rush, wasn't easy to build for me, but got it done...more then happy with this, best way to describe is 8f your ok with ikea..quality product then you will like this after you curse and yell building it, took me a long time to build maybe 10 hours (that's me, not a builder) ...so if your like me expect along day, if your good I would say still 3-5 hours ...very happy

Not too difficult to assemble but requires patience and reading ahead a few pages at times. Having decent tools - like a cordless drill/driver and knowing how to use them - definitely helps and speeds things up. Looks great when done. Very happy and satisfied.

very cheap quality. some of the pieces started breaking as i was assembling it. none of the pieces are labelled either so assembly is confusing. very disappointed. my cats scratching post is made of the same stuff this dresser is made out of. big rip off, i don’t know how a company gets away with selling cardboard and calling it a dresser.

I bought a set of three pieces for one room, and another set of two for another room soon after. The quality is decent for the price. I managed to assemble all pieces with no problems after following the instructions. I would recommend glue on the drawers and frame members, as well as the back panels. Doesn't take much more time, and will be worth the effort when moving time comes along. ( I'm a carpenter so trust me !!) The packaging was excellent, though the boxes were a bit heavy. Items arived in just about a week (Canada). The finish is good, but one should be careful and make sure you put objects on felt pads when placing them on the dresser so as not to scratch. (Lamps etc.) I am very pleased that I could buy a Canadian-made product, instead of offshore. I m always looking for that in a purchase. I was missing one handle, but the company has already sent one courier, no questions asked. NICE JOB South Shore Furniture. Highly recommended.
