I don’t know, maybe I was expecting too much…

A handy book for the beginner or for the person that's looking for extra tips and tricks. The author goes over different techniques that can be used of which some of them I've already known and some of them new. One thing I could ask for is more illustrations demonstrating the techniques and more content. However all in all for the price point I can say this book delivers enough bang for it's buck.

タイトルからすると人物や風景の鉛筆画の 描き方についての技法書の様です。 英語のテキストがスラスラ読めるほど語学力は ありませんが、それでも画像から内容は 大体分かるだろうし、得るものもあるだろうと 期待して購入しました。 しかし期待に反して過去の巨匠のスケッチ数点以外、 役に立ちそうな画像はありませんでした。 英語が読めれば有用な事が書いてあるのかも 知れませんが、そうでない場合は一切役に立たないので、 おススメはしません。

I really find this book as a very great one! This is a good instructional drawing book for anyone who is looking to start drawing or get back into sketching and drawing. The author starts by describing what material you should get. Then you have a chapter that discuss the different pencils types and grading. You will also learn what pencils the best to use in drawing and sketching. This book do provides a lot of tips and advices on how to draw for the beginners and what I love about this book is its tips are very easy to follow and yet you can see a very big improvement on your drawing skills. This book will make you learn drawing in no time. It provides brilliant insights into the fundamentals of drawings. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in learning how to draw, very informative.

Way too short, and no real instruction of techniques with examples...just advice being given. Not worth the 1.99 I paid, let alone its full price. I've just requested a refund. Hardly a complete guide of anything.
