AMAZING FOR THE PRICE

Honestly a good beginners set. Very, very nice for the price. The set had some minor chips in it and the glaze bubbled a bit on the bottom of one cup. This happens with glaze though, because the set is so thin and small the commericial machine just dispensed too much glaze. Glaze is basically powdered glass that becomes a coating all around when fired, so bubbles are normal for that. It doesn't make a big difference when sipping or pouring and it's not too noticeable. It should still be non-porous so it's safe to drink from too. It's just a sign of the price-point and commercialization. As for the chips - another side effect of the production process. When clay (porcelain is just ultra refined clay) is fired, sometimes it develops stress cracks or there is a small pocket of air that expands in heat and breaks the piece. The company would likely have to raise their price to keep the very very barely damaged pieces from being sent out.The cups are extremely thin so you do have to be relatively careful with them, one drop will likely shatter the gaiwan or cups. This doesn't mean they're bad to use though. I like the thickness, it's elegant to me. If you're worried about even holding the cups or gaiwan - you're likely holding them too tight. Keep your hands dry and hold with light but even pressure. There are plenty of YouTube tutorials (I recommend MeiLeaf). Nothing is so big that it would be heavy so don't worry. As for the kit as a whole - it's cute and functional. Starting from the inside out:The cups came in a little suede finished plastic compartment. I recommend keeping this since it will prevent the cups from crashing into each other and breaking when using this as a travel set. There are two minor details I have problems with for this piece of the kit- 1) it doesn't match the rest of ware. I understand the plastic might not look good white but the black just looks a bit harsh to me when staring in. 2) it's suede finished so it's porous, which isn't the best given you might accidentally drop water or tea in and it will culture in the fibers. The cup places aren't suede-y so the risk is small but it is present. I'm guessing you're not intended to keep this piece but I like it and it's good enough for me.You get a cute little tea towel which is fine - you can wrap the gaiwan in it for protection when traveling and it fits well. You get two little trays, the brown transparent and the white top. the brown gets stuck sometimes and it's hard to pull out but it has openings in its middle so you can release the vacuum in it and pull it out with some finagling. These get a little cumbersome just because they are so small and can't fit much, but hey that's the trade off with a travel set.Top and bottom of the white hard case don't click together or anything so you really do need the elastic provided to keep it together. This is fine, you just need to be careful to put the elastic on just right to keep it placed and not sliding off. A bit tricky in a rush - could have been solved by a little notch on the side of the case or something but again, this is a crazy cheap product (clay is not cheap so production cost is relatively high. Plus you get 2 pieces of textile and custom printed case.)Brown case also helps it keep together and I've had no problems.Feel a bit nervous carrying it in my bag sometimes but I can't say I've found new chips from it being occasionally banged.

HORRIBLE QUALITY AND FRAGILE.

This is my returned order already, the first time I received it one cup was broken into two pieces so I sent it back and ask for a replacement, then I received this set and this time one cup is damaged, again. Not only the set itself is too fragile to do distance delivery but I also wanna ask why don't update the package to better secure it? I'm definitely not the first experiencing this nor the last one.

Good tea set but cheap quality

It's ideal size(I means small) and simple to use if you know what is KUNGFU TEA. But cheap made, seems easy to break.
