Q: What does it sound like?

It sounds like heaven!!!! It is specifically tuned! I am buying all the other Koshi Chimes as well!

Q: Are these chimes meant for outdoor use? The description says "Suspended, it will play with the wind and carry you away in an unexpected melody."

I would only use it outdoors if it were in some sort of enclosed or covered area. I only use mine inside for sound healing purposes. I feel the outer shell would take a beating if left out in the rain or Sun. But they are lovely chimes. Hope that helps.
