I highly recommend this kit for gas transfer. I’ve used it repeatedly and it’s great… they thought of everything you need fit up to 1lb camping gas canisters, and it makes it easy to use butane, isobutane mix or propane based on weather and availability.

bought because I know how easy it is to transfer fuel and yet how painful it is when you are on a partial can and need just a few extra minutes and you run out(but mainly because I use lighters and really only cared if it would do that, the camp-stove/emergency lantern use is secondary)suffice to say, it works, but the instructions are actually important, place the receiver can in the freezer and get the donor can as warm as you can under 100f(about 35c), then connect and open the valve, when it stops flowing and they are teh same temp, disconnect and repeat, but try not to fill the receiver can above what is ships with(usually about 50% of full weight is fuel) so having a low-weight scale or knowing the total fuel amount is <100% full is a good idea

I just keep buying more Camping Moon products because I'm impressed every time. I'm using this to refill the isobutane canister I use with my Camping Moon lantern with cheap butane fuel. I originally had a different adapter kit but this one is much higher quality, easier to thread on and off, and I like the purge valve feature (although I don't use it much).

Solved the issue of how to transfer propane and reduce the number of canisters I have. Quality product

This is one of the best products I’ve purchased in a while. Easy to use. Allowed me to get rid of bunch of 1/2 used canisters. Works great when you warm the donor can and cool the recipient can first.

This is a fairly nice accessory and it worked for the most part. Mine came with the valve fully open but it looked like it was off so it sprayed propane everywhere so that was no go.It is also annoying that the wire handle doesn’t fully fold over the valve housing which means it’s nowhere as small as it should be when it’s stored and is more prone to damage because of how it sticks out.The propane and butane adapters seem to be well made so those were a good purchase.If redoing the purchase I would probably look for an alternative that fully folds down to the smallest size and is less likely to be damaged during storage/transport.
