Quality and functionality
I replaced a many decades old high-end aluminum pot of the same size That I Loved with this one. Letting go of that pot was like losing a life-long friend. (I'm 81). It was truly painful parting ways with it. I didn't do it for myself, but because I didn't want to pass it on to someone younger who might not be aware of or heed the health risks of aluminum. As with the older one, I use this pot mainly for boiling water for pasta. Absolutely no issues with the quality, which seems substantial. The handles don't get terribly hot and I don't need hotpads while draining, but I'm careful to keep the gas flame adjusted to fit the base of the pot, which helps with that possible issue. I will say that water in stainless doesn't heat up as fast as it does in aluminum. That's the only downside for me. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Just ok. Great size
This is low quality steel, not very heavy at all. Lid was already bent in the strainer section with the wider holes. Perfect size for me though so I'll keep it since I'll be using it only to boil pasta. Also having the strainer and specially the silicone pads on the lid to hold it when you're pouring the water is very convenient.

Almost a perfect pot, except for one thing...
This pot is basically everything it advertises itself to be: a stainless steel, sturdy pot whose ingenious lid allows for straining. Having used the pot for almost 4 years now, I've done everything from washing veggies, cooking pasta, making soffritto and many things in between.Almost everything about this pot reflects careful thought and design: the handles are covered with rubber, which means handling the pot is never a problem. Straining with the lid has both large holes on one side and small ones on the other, letting you strain with different speeds. The lid also has tiny rubber coverlets for your thumbs to grip the lid while straining, meaning you're not going to get burnt on the lid.Sounds good, right? However, there is one tiny problem that practically ruins this pot for me: the thing is damned sharp. And no, I'm not some perfumed-laden, soft-handed maiden barely engaged with common kitchen tasks due to my coquettish charm. I've spent decades in the kitchen making meals. I've murdered lobsters with these hands. They've been around the proverbial cutting block.I say this to provide my next statement with sufficient context: In my decades in the kitchen, I've never encountered an implement as unintentionally sharp as this one. When washing the pot's rim, I have to take care not to press my skin against the edge. When I'm holding the pot, I have to be careful to avoid the handles' ends where they screw into the pot, because those edges are sharp. Whenever I'm using this thing, I'm basically wielding a Klingon bat'leth. It's never sharp enough to break the skin, but it's certainly sharp enough to exclaim "Ow!" out loud and summon the wife for a general welfare check. So, would I recommend this pot? Yes...with caveats. If you don't mind having a pot brutally stab you when you use it, then it works really well! If you do mind getting stabbed, then maybe pass on it, and look for something a tiny bit more ergonomic.
