Read Hunter's Review for 5150
Can't stress this enough, Gentleman named Hunter left a review regarding 5150 so I copied and paste. This was genius and worked 100% flawlessly. I planned ahead and ordered the tap as well as the springs. Grateful for an actual useful and correct review/ information.Springs are sturdy and seem well built. Only thing that's a concern is maybe are too stiff? Time will tell. 4 stars simply because the extra work. *Edit 12/22/24 : Not too stiff. Springs are perfect. Just the right stiffness with enough flex when needed. Smacked the hell out of the garage a few times forgetting they were on. Plenty of flex when it's needed."For 5150 whip users, simply take a 1/2-13 tap, and cut in new threads over the 1/2-20 threads already present. There is enough metal thickness, that the threads hold fine. I just cut a little bit, backed it out to clean out the shavings, and cut a little more until I was all the way through"

Good flex
Good value I used these for light stick on my side by side. The only issue is not every light stick have the same thread as the receiver. I had to rethread which was easy went from fine to corse.

Yes they are heavy duty
I thought they might be a little too stiff. But I have shorter flags, so probably fine. They worked well for me. But I don't have whip lights so I can't help you there.

Could be a good product, if not for one serious flaw. **Maybe fixed?
***05/17/21 UPDATEI purchased a second spring, knowing I would need to tap new threads to run a bolt into the bottom. But when I received it, I could see they improved the mount. It wasn't the same very thin metal of the previous one, but still maintains a small pass through hole for wires. I bolted it down pretty tight and it didn't break. I removed it, examined it, and bolted it down again, tight. So here is hoping the fixed the flaw on an otherwise great product. So I ran into the same issue as many others have with this product. As I was trying to tighten the nut, the hollow bolt on the bottom sheared off, before it started to compress the lock nut. Looking in the bottom of it, it appeared to be a thin piece of hollow metal forming the bolt that was part of a larger much more durable plate that the spring was attached to. I chose to saw the rest of the hollow bolt off, tapped some new threads into the base and threaded a new bolt into it. The base was approximately a half an inch thick and provided more than enough metal for some good threads. This worked really well and has held up strong. I'm not sure why they chose to make that bolt hollow, but it is a serious flaw. A little work on my part made this a 5 star item, but is sadly produced as a one star.

Great Spring and Great Price
I seen a lot of comments on it breaking beings it is hollow. If you tighten onto your ATV just go slow and don't over tighten it, it shouldn't break. It works great and looks even better.

Great springs for lighted whips.
Easy to install. Same threads as lighted whip mount. Plenty beefy and stiff for the 4 foot lighted whips I have mounted high on my roll cage so the whips aren't just flopping around. Makes it easy to transport my RZR by just using a bungee cord to bend and hold the whips down at the back without having to take the whips off. Would feel completely safe going on a ride with them tied down as well.

Tuff spring, but not ground continuity for LED whips on my pair.
As a basic spring for Buggy Whips on Can-Am, not bad. 4ft have a little too much flex with flags on them, but would work at lower speeds. Easy to install. 1/2 threads matched for Buggy Whip thread fit.Larger issue with my pair was neither of them had continuity from top threads to bottom threads (even after wire brushing both, so I could not use them to chassis ground function with LED light Whips. There is a hole through the middle for the positive wire and fits will, but would have to put another unsightly wire outside to ground the whip connector to the frame, which makes no sense. I also tried scratching the paint off a few other point and could only get the base, spring, or top threads seperately, to these pieces were not directly welded together... I was able to pry the base off the spring and as you can see in the photos, its all painted so, it couldnt have contact to continuity.
