Only a small amount is required so the relatively high price for a small quantity is totally justified given the quality of the product. It is very likely that the product will help reverse any otherwise reversible stress or damage caused by previous topical application such as that of corticosteroids. It is most certainly relieving of pruritus (itching). In the US, colloidal oatmeal is perhaps the only natural material clinically certified to be a skin protectant by the US Food and Drugs Administration, and apparently for very good reason. The product is also non-comedogenic, unlike cocoa butter based creams, and the skin pores will not get clogged. So, in conclusion, if you are looking for a quality product for dry/ very dry/ sensitive to eczema prone skin, and/ or skin that has recorded some side effects from a previous topical corticosteroid, and the condition is not severe, you can most certainly try this product. I am sure that for chronic and severe skin issues, creams, being thicker and stronger, from Aveeno will be correspondingly useful, going by the quality of this product. This has been the best barrier repair moisturizer I ever found. It repaired my damaged skin barrier within just two days. It is not oily or greasy on skin unlike other barrier repair creams , absorbs within a few seconds into the skin, soothes redness and itchy flaky skin and leaves a plumpy feel on skin! Can be easily used with other actives like tretinoin if you are on acne treatment.
