Easy to install in my bath vanity floor. This anti-scald (mixer) valve for controlling hot water temperature at my Roman tub replaces a 2007 year mixer valve. Read the directions carefully; to adjust the temperature, unscrew the Allen-head screw in the tan handle a bit (no need to remove) and then pull the handle back and turn. The handle cannot be turned with the Allen-head screw tight, and there was no need to completely remove the screw. Build quality: High quality part, greatly improved for long-term reliability, & ability to adjust the temperature at the tub. Old part replaced, from 2007.

My house was not getting hot water from my gas water heater and my hot water line was hot, so i knew it was not my water heater. After the mixing valve the water line was cool to the touch. So I replaced my old 10 year mixing valve with the same one which took me 30 minutes to change out and happy to report that there is hot water again.

See photo for what I received. No union, filters or gasket. Buy somewhere else. Would be easy to install if all the parts were in the box.
