Always us genuine parts. They fit perfect and there are no problems with fitment.

The prefilter I believe is necessary as protects pleated filter from grass and gross dirt which promotes longevity. This product is nouned as a pre-cleaner yet protects the air filter. Should be named after what it protects - i.e., prefilter.

I used this pre filter for an engine, on a DR Powerwagon. This is also a filter, in addition the the standard air filter. It goes right under the cover. I believe it is designed to remove the larger contaminants, before they get to the regular air filter. I had changed the regular air filter already, but neglected this one. It was filthy, and time for a replacement. This is an O.E.M. replacement, so you know it is of good quality.

Couldn’t find local but it is genuine Briggs & Stratton part only problem was came all bent and creased properly Amazon employee fault the way it was repackaged with other parts of my order but i was able to flatten it out

I bought this pre cleaner together with a Briggs and Stratton air filter as part of my Snapper lawnmower's service. Both parts arrived in sealed plastic bags and looked just like the ones the mower came with (except a lot cleaner.) I hadn't realised how poorly my mower was running until I swapped in the new filters, and coupled with an oil change it now runs smoothly with no missing. A lawnmower service isn't the most exciting thing, but it really is worth doing.
